‘You did not season it’: Fans slam Dorinda Medley’s cooking skills amid rumors of casting in ‘RHONY: Legacy’
Dorinda Medley seems to have settled well in her “pause” mode after her exit from ‘RHONY’. The reality TV star is spending her time posting videos and photos of her day-to-day life on Instagram, sometimes even sharing her beauty rituals or her cooking secrets. Recently the NYC housewife gave her fans and followers a peek into her kitchen as she shared one of her favorite recipes with a cooking video.
Dorinda shared the recipe and preparation method for her “one pot chicken” in the post’s caption, along with a video of her showing the cooking process. While a few fans appreciated the rustic recipe, a few did not find anything appetizing about Dorinda’s roast chicken. The irked fans expressed their annoyance in the comment section as one fan wrote, “Auntie you did not season that bird omg.” And another added, “lol she said salted chicken, but imma a need a little more flavor than that maam.” Another person responded similarly and penned, “I’m going to ask you to season that chicken and put it back in the oven for another 1.5hrs. Thank you.” Whereas one viewer was concerned about the ingredients and wrote, “coleslaw with cranberry sauce, that’s different,” to which another added, “Coleslaw with a roast and peas and cranberry sauce? No. And another no to all those peas, Maybe some nice roasted Brussels, or even asparagus but frozen peas?”

Someone also questioned the recipe’s authenticity and noted, “That looks delicious. But lasagna doesn’t have cottage cheese in it. Ever.” And another chimed in, saying, “Italians don’t put cottage cheese into Lasagna! I can make you some real Italian Lasagna from Nona secret recipes!” A few people were also concerned about the pre-cooking preparation, and one noted, “Yum! I hope you didn’t put the browned chicken back in the same dish you used when it was raw!!”. At the same time, another added, “one has to wonder was that chicken washed with vinegar first or did she just throw it in a pot.”
Well, the displeased fans probably won’t have to endure any more of Dorinda’s cooking videos pretty soon after rumors of the reality star returning to the ‘Real Housewives of New York’ franchise are swirling about as speculations are rife. While fans anxiously await the ‘RHONY’ spinoff titled ‘RHONY: Legacy’, Page Six reports that Dorinda Medley is among the shortlisted cast members to grace the show. Sources claim that contracts haven't been signed yet, but are underway. The former housewife is yet to make a comment.
