'Mean Girls' star Lindsay Lohan, who portrayed the role of the famous Cady Heron in the movie, is all set to return to the screen with Netflix's upcoming movie titled 'Falling for Christmas'. In the early 2000s, Lohan made headlines for her legal issues, court appearances, and a number of stints in rehabilitation facilities due to alcoholism. This period saw her lose several roles and significantly impacted her career and public image.

In an attempt to return to acting and stage a comeback, she appeared in 'Liz & Dick' (2012) and 'The Canyons' (2013) but both movies received negative reviews. However, a judge declared that Lohan had completed her probation in 2015 which began in 2007, making her free from the legal system for the first time in eight years. Following years of sobriety, Lohan signed a multi-film deal with Netflix. Fans took to social media to express their views on the movie and Lohan. Some feel that there are many similarities between the 'Just My Luck' actress' upcoming Netflix flick and 'Overload', while others are just supportive of one of their favorite stars. Read on to know what the fans have to say.

'Falling for Christmas' revolves around a newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress (Lindsay Lohan) who gets amnesia after a skiing accident and finds herself in the care of a blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas. However, Netflix dropped the trailer on October 7, 2022, stating that they come bearing Christmas gifts a tad bit earlier and it seems like fans have no complaints about it whatsoever.

One fan wrote. "I missed hearing you narrate your movies/your characters’ internal monologues." A fan tweeted, "Dreams have been made seeing this. Been waiting for a Lindsay movie for so long. SO excited for this one."

One fan tweeted, "This will be the movie that really gets me into the Christmas spirit." Another one said, "Omg! Jingle Bell Rock! This looks like a cute movie, I’m excited for your comeback."

'Falling for Christmas' marks Lohan's first role in a major production in over a decade, following a series of career setbacks while recovering from addiction and legal issues. In February 2022, Lohan spoke to Vogue about her decision to join the film, "I feel like what we don't have enough of right now is romantic comedies. And that's exactly what it is: It's a really fun, uplifting romantic comedy. And it's actually really funny. When I read the script and when we started to film it, I didn't realize how physically funny we were going to be. There's a lot of physical comedy in it, which I really liked doing - it's one of my favorite things to do, which I haven't got to in a while."

'Falling for Christmas'  began production in Utah in November 2021 and is scheduled to be released on November 10, 2022, on Netflix.
