GRAN CANARIA ISLAND, SPAIN: The second episode of 'Ex on the Beach: Couples' titled 'You're Breaking My Heart' aired on Thursday, February 16, 2023, and the arrival of the exes caused some significant drama. After Ri's confession, fans are pleading with both Ri and Shayla to let go of Spari.

Most seasons of 'Ex on the Beach' feature a bunch of gorgeous singles, the unexpected appearance of exes, and a lot of drama. While 'Ex on the Beach: Couples' has exes from the main cast, the cast is made up of couples in committed relationships. This is the final test for them and an opportunity to demonstrate that they are ready for the next stage in their relationships. The cast witnessed some startling disclosures in the February 16 episode, which left several confident couples in a bind.

Ri's confession leaves Spari in a pickle with Shayla

In the most recent episode, host Kamie Crawford revealed the season's first twist dubbed the Shack. She explains what it is and how it works, and it appears like it will be an important component of the season moving forward. It's actually simply another way for couples to see if they're truly ready for a future together.

Earlier seasons of 'Ex on the Beach' featured the Shack of Secrets, which is utilized to either aid or hinder couples via dramatic confessions. Contestants are occasionally allowed to peek through their partner's phone. Other times, a couple is obliged to engage in trust-building exercises. The Shack in 'Ex on the Beach: Couples' is a little different. The main notion, though, appears to be the same. It's a room actually full of luggage, or baggage, and couples must face it together in order to progress.

Ri is shown talking to the camera about her relationship with Spari in a video montage. She begins by praising Spari while emphasizing that "he is still a guy." She also disclosed their text messages to the camera, which upset Spari's girlfriend Shayla. Spari wrote to his ex, "I still love u," and "why do I miss u so much," in the text chain. What made matters worse for him was when a text message appeared on his screen that read, "I wanna see ur thighs." Shayla was rendered speechless.

Ri went on to share about the time when she went on a horse carriage date with Spari outside of Central Park, which Shayla was unaware of. Even though Spari tries to downplay it as a date, Shayla was offended when Ri highlighted their kiss.

'Spari is so damn dumb'

After Spari took care of the situation, a fan quipped, "Shayla: explains why she’s upset spari: but babe I love yoUuUu." Another fan added, "Spari is so damn dumb I cannot." Slamming him for playing both the girls, a fan wrote, "Well Spari, you shouldn’t be playing with Shayla and Ri… the way I don’t feel bad for this boy at all." One fan advised Shayla and wrote, "Shayla babe.. you have no problem with Spari going on a date with Ri and her flirting with him… girl FIND BETTER. I BEG."

On the other hand, some fans are rooting for a friendship between Ri and Shayla. One said, "Wait can Shayla and Ri become besties and both drop Spari? I’d be here for that." Seeing Spari deny being on a date with Ri, made a fan comment, "“I didn’t know she took the horse and carriage ride as a date…” BOY YOU KISSED HER. HELLO?????????"
