'Emperor of Ocean Park' Episode 4 Preview: Old friend may help Talcott and Mariah find mystery woman

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: MGM+'s latest series 'Emperor of Ocean Park' keeps getting better and thrilling with each episode. In the three episodes released so far, we see Talcott Garland (Grantham Coleman) finding himself in the middle of a mystery after his father's death.
Talcott's sister Mariah (Tiffany Mack) is convinced that their father, Judge Oliver Garland (Forest Whitaker), didn't die of natural causes but was murdered instead. Talcott doesn't believe his theory until Episode 3, when strange occurrences point at a conspiracy.
What happens in 'Emperor of Ocean Park' Episode 3?
In 'Emperor of Ocean Park' Episode 3, Talcott tries to investigate who left one of the missing pawns from his father's chess box for him at the university. Later, when he is stalked by someone in the university's parking lot, his anxiousness grows.
He decides to visit the home which he inherited from his father after his death. While his wife, Kimmer (Paulina Lule) is keen to sell the house, the couple's argument is interrupted when they see that someone broke into the house before their arrival.
Later, Talcott finds a note that his father wrote before his death. Addressed to Talcott, Judge Garland wrote that Lisa's boyfriend can tell him about the "arrangements".
At this point, Talcott is clueless about the identity of Lisa or her boyfriend, and what "arrangements" everyone's been talking about.
However, he knows that this information is crucial and that is why he confides in his sister who is busy carrying out an investigation in Father Freeman Brown's murder.
She meets a suspect who was arrested in Father Brown's murder case. From him, she learns that the pastor had a girlfriend.
Mariah then sneaks into Father Brown's office and steals his personal diary, which reveals that Lisa was his girlfriend.
What to expect in 'Emperor of Ocean Park' Episode 4?
In Episode 4 of 'Emperor of Ocean Park', Mariah and Talcott will join hands to solve the mystery behind Father Brown and Judge Garland's deaths. For this, they'll have to dig deeper and find about the mysterious woman, Lisa and her role.
Simultaneously, Talcott will spy on Kimmer, and track her activities, suspecting her of infidelity.
The official synopsis for 'Emperor of Ocean Park' Episode 4 reads, "Tal enlists the help of his colleague to track Kimmer's whereabouts; furthering their investigation, Tal and Mariah look to an old friend of The Judge for answers."
When will 'Emperor of Ocean Park' Episode 4 release?
MGM+ has been following weekly release schedule for the thriller series. As per the schedule, 'Emperor of Ocean Park' Episode 4 will be available for streaming on MGM+ next Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 10 pm ET.
