'Doubling Down With the Derricos': Fans shocked as GG's lung cancer returns
Family certainly comes first when it comes to Karen, Deon, and the Derrico kids. All of them are close-knit, and it shows, seeing that Karen and Deon put then kids above all else. It's also heartwarming to see just how close the kids are to GG, their paternal grandmother.
However, Season 3 has not been kind to GG, seeing that she's had multiple health scares, which have truly been a cause for concern. Combined with the South Carolina move, a lot seems to be happening in the Derrico house. But it looks like now, it might all come to a standstill.

While the Derricos were in the process of planning their move, they came across some shocking news regarding GG's health. Deon took Karen aside and broke down the startling truth -- GG's cancer had returned.
She had previously been diagnosed with lung cancer in 2014 and while she was treated for it back then, the doctors now found that there was a cancerous growth yet again. For GG, whenever there was a mention of dates, like birthdays or celebrations, she often asked herself if she would be around till then.

As GG went shopping with Darian, she told her granddaughter what was going on with her, seeing that Darian was now old enough to understand. It also came down to if the family would be moving to South Carolina. While Karen knew that Deon had made the preparations to start their business, she realized that it was necessary to stay back with GG, so that they could care for her and so that the kids could be around her.
