Hyuna and Dawn, who left Cube Entertainment because of their secret relationship, were immensely loved by all K-pop stans

Fans of K-pop have been familiar with the dating history that Hyuna and Dawn had during their time at Cube Entertainment. The two idols were in what seemed to be a secret relationship for three years before the agency found out about it and caused the idols to leave the company. Hyuna, who was a solo idol at Cube Entertainment, and Dawn, who was a part of the K-pop group Pentagon, had their contracts terminated after the label mentioned that these artists could not be trusted.

All this chaos led to many fans as well as general K-pop stans to defend the two idols who wanted to keep their romantic relationship private and away from the prying eyes of haters. The two artists bid farewell to the label and fans were starting to lose hope for the two in the industry. Soon after their departure from Cube Entertainment, both Hyuna and Dawn signed as solo artists under the K-pop sensation, Psy’s label P Nation, which became a redemption arc story for many other idols.

Psy and his welcoming team gave Hyuna and Dawn the support they needed and the two idols led on to their solo careers. Fans got even more interested in the relationship between the two idols as they posted cute couple photos on their social media accounts giving fans inside access to their romantic life. Later, they came to be known as the ‘it couple’ of K-pop. In what looked like the most public relationship K-pop has ever witnessed, Hyuna and Dawn went out to release their first duo project as a couple, their first mini-album titled, ‘1+1=1’ on September 9, 2021.

Three tracks of the debut duo album were instant hits and with the title track ‘Ping Pong’ still a trending dance challenge on multiple social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels, fans assumed that the lovebirds were doing well in their relationship. But much to their dismay, in the last week of October, Hyuna shared cryptic Instagram posts hinting at a possible breakup or a rough patch in the relationship, thus leaving fans in shock.

The couple last hinted at a rocky phase in their six-year private relationship when they had appeared on the reality show about their lives, ‘I’m Fine Thank You, And You?’ aired by the YouTube channel, Studio Lululala. The video posted from the channel showed clips where the couple seemed to be fighting. However, many fans later asserted the clip was edited and that their idols were only engaged in casual banter.

Fans said that it is normal for couples to argue, that is what makes the relationship stronger. Weeks after the end of the show, fans were convinced that nothing would break the couple apart but recent posts from Hyuna suggest otherwise. Over the last couple of days, Hyuna has been posting breakup songs as her Instagram story making many fans believe that everything is not okay between them.

Fans have their own theory on why the posts from Hyuna could merely be a recommendation for fans. One fan said, "I HOPE THIS IS JUST A SONG RECOMMENDATION BY HER." Another fan joked, "I bet dawn got fed up with hyuna cutting off his bangs all the time." One fan tweeted, "Im gonna cry if dawn and hyuna break up…"

One fan said, "This is so random but if hyuna and dawn break up, i will not believe in true love anymore, it will be the dealbreaker of my love life." One angry fan said, "stopf**king assuming shit hyunadawn did NOT break up why'd she share that through a song recommendation wtf." Another lost fan asked, "QAIT A FUCKING MINUTE DID HYUNA AND DAWN BREAK UP OR PPL ARE LYING."
