Did Gabby Windey quit 'The Bachelorette' Season 19?
Based on the previews, it may seem like Gabby took a page from her predecessor Clare Crawley's book and left the dating show mid-way at first glance. But we believe that the ICU nurse finished filming the season and left with a Neil Lane engagement ring! In the preview for the upcoming episode, we see Gabby in a conversation with her suitor Erich Schwer, He can be heard saying that he doesn't like watching Gabby with other men. In the next scene, we see Gabby walking away in tears wondering if she's too broken to be loved. Later Jesse tells Rachel that Gabby won't be joining them and that she's the only bachelorette!
Gabby picked Jason, Johnny, and Erich for her hometown dates. Unfortunately for her, both Jason and Johnny confided in their family members that they weren't ready to get engaged to Gabby or take the next step in their relationship. Interestingly enough, neither of them informed this to Gabby leaving her in the dark, and letting her dream of their futures together. We think Jason and Johnny may have come clean about their hesitation to get engaged to her, leading to Gabby getting very emotional and wondering if she's too broken to be loved. So, she may have canceled her dates and decided to take some time out for herself. We believe that Gabby eventually returned and finished the season by getting engaged to the only suitor left- Erich. So, the preview hinting at her exit can be safely classified as dramatic editing.
