Did Amanda and Misty get bariatric surgery? '1000-lb Sisters' star Amy Slaton fears losing sisters amid their weight loss journey
STURGIS, KENTUCKY: In the recently released epsiode of '1000-lb Sisters' Season 5, we see Amanda and Misty being approved for bariatric surgery. Now, they are all being set to undergo the surgery.
From their social media, it is not revealed whether they underwent the surgery. However, Amanda seemingly looked thinner in her recent video as compared to how she looked in the show.
Therefore, there are high chance that Amanda and Misty might have gone through the weight loss surgery and would have successfully recovered from it.
Well, this is not the first time when Amanda prepared herself for bariatric surgery. She is reported to have undergone one surgery in 2014 before appearing on TLC's show.
Ahead of the surgery, Misty accepted that she feared who would take care of the children if something happened to her. Amy Slaton accepted that it was "scary" thinking that her sisters might not make it in the surgery if there was one wrong slip.
Amy said, "I need my sisters, not only because they're my support systems but that's family." She is then seen crying on the lunch table thinking about losing Amanda and Misty.
Seeing Amy cry, Amanda said, "If you need me, I'll stay. I'll cancel (surgery) and reschedule." Amy replied, "I can't do that. Your surgery is more important."
