STURGIS, KENTUCKY: '1000-lb Sisters' Season 5 star Amy Slaton astonished the viewers by showcasing her rageful side in the premiere episode.

Amy who was seen carrying a cheerful and bubble personality, seemed to have drastically changed emotionally ever since giving birth to her second son, Glenn.

This led fans to wonder whether her anger and emotional response stemmed from postpartum depression as there was not much time gap between Amy giving birth to her second son and filming of Season 5.

Moreover, there have been rumors that Amy's marriage to Michael Halterman was strained by postpartum depression as she had to handle the children as well as the household all by herself.

In the premiere episode of Season 5, Amy is seen landing into a feud with her now ex-husband Michael over not sharing household responsibilities.

Subsequently, a fan claimed on the Reddit thread, "Amy seems like she’s dealing with some serious post partum depression. Amanda is a real one. The way she stands up to Michael in that preview. Girl get him."

Another commented, "Amy is clearly having some post-partum emotional issues and the last thing she needs is her sister screaming in her face. Post partum stress/depression can do a lot to a woman's emotions. I feel for her."

"I think Amy is suffering from post partum since the second baby came. She's emotional, depressed, over whelmed with alot of responsibilities, and her husband don't do crap for her," chimed in an individual.
