'Bring back Zack Snyder' trends as DC fans say 'nothing's been same since he left'

DC has been making a lot of headlines recently. After DCEU released 'Black Adam' on Friday, October 21, 2022, fans poured massive love into the film with a very positive review for the film and its star, Dwayne Johnson. The fans claim Dwayne Johnson has fulfilled their wishes and are even happier as they saw the iconic Henry Cavill's 'Superman' making a comeback on the big screen in the post-credits of 'Black Adam'. However, the fans are quick to proceed on a rampage with a new agenda and claim as 'The Rock' granted their long-awaited wishes of theirs to see Cavill starring as 'Superman' again. 

Wonder what that is? They want Zack Snyder back. #BringBackZackSnyder has been a trending hashtag for a few hours on Twitter. It is safe to guess fans want DCEU to return to its previous glory days when they didn't make "average movies". The media franchise and shared universe centered on a series of superhero films and television series produced by DC Films and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Earlier in October, Dwayne Johnson stated that he will serve in an advisory role for the franchise, including helping Warner Bros. find the new leadership they need for DC Films to thrive; while expressing confidence in the future under the direction of Zaslav, De Luca, and Abdy. Later the same month, sequels to 'Man of Steel,' 'Wonder Woman 1984,' and 'The Flash' were announced. Although 'The Flash' faced a lot of backlash earlier this year due to Ezra Miller's certain situations, it is quickly overlooked as fans are more psyched for the return of 'Man of Steel' and 'Wonder Woman'.

Zack Snyder has directed or produced a number of comic book and superhero films. He started the journey with DC Extended Universe (DCEU) with the 'Superman' film that started the DC Extended Universe, over the course of time he was a part of 'Man of Steel' (2013), and its follow-ups, 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' (2016) and 'Justice League' (2017). Now amid the 'Black Adam' reactions, a surprising Twitter trend has emerged which says #BringBackZackSnyder to helm the upcoming movies of DCEU or as fans call it "Snyderverse." 

A fan wrote, "#BringBackZackSnyder for Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2." A fan mentioned, "To avoid this embarassment @wbd you need to #BringBackZackSnyder," another fan adds, "It's time to save DC and #BringBackZackSnyder." A fan said, "Zack deserves a chance to complete the vision he invested 10 years into! #BringBackZackSnyder," while another tweeted, "#BringBackZackSnyder to see these iconic characters with great story arc return on the big screen." One said, "We need this man back in DC. Nothing has been the same since he’s left. The Age of Heroes must come again!"

It is safe to say fans are quite passionate about campaigning for Snyder's comeback. We guess time will tell if DCEU budge to the fans' wants.
