AUSTIN, TEXAS: Lainey Wilson was honored with the prestigious Female Video of the Year award for her hit song 'Watermelon Moonshine' at the 2024 CMT Music Awards held at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas on Sunday, April 7.

The 'Yellowstone' star emerged victorious in the category, triumphing over Ashley McBryde's heartfelt ballad titled 'Light On in the Kitchen', Gabby Barrett's captivating track 'Glory Days', Kacey Musgraves' soulful rendition of 'Deeper Well', Kelsea Ballerini's enchanting melody 'Penthouse', Megan Moroney's empowering anthem 'I'm Not Pretty', and the legendary Reba McEntire's mesmerizing masterpiece 'Seven Minutes in Heaven.'

However, many fans have voiced their disappointment, believing Kelsea Ballerini was unfairly denied the award.

An X user wrote, "When is the world gonna actually recognize the pure talent that is @KelseaBallerini she got robbed AGAIN!!

In the past, Ballerini had shared the stage with Kane Brown and Anthony Mackie. The talented country artist recently released her latest single, 'Love me Like You Mean It (Reimagined),' just two days before the event.

For the star-studded event, the blonde beauty turned heads in a stunning sheer red lace gown by David Koma, which she complemented with matching Jimmy Choo Max platform sandals.

In terms of her hairstyle, she decided to leave her blonde hair loose and enhanced with extensions, creating a beautiful look. She chose to keep her overall makeup and styling minimal, allowing the attention to be solely focused on her stunning dress, which was the epitome of drama and elegance.

Kelsea Ballerini was accompanied on the red carpet of the 2024 CMT Music Awards by her boyfriend, Chase Stokes.

Stokes opted for a timeless Dolce & Gabbana suit with a hint of uniqueness, combining black trousers with a white shirt and a cream jacket. To complete his ensemble, he adorned his feet with stylish black dress shoes.

For those who may not be aware, it's worth noting that Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes made their red-carpet debut as a couple at the previous year's CMT Music Awards.

As per Daily Mail, during the preshow, Kelsea said, "I have a really hot date tonight."  "I'm really really happy and it's really nice to... this is our first outing so I'm like, 'Come on into my world and then bring me into Charleston [where Outer Banks shoots].' I don't know if it's the big moments on TV or where I am in my life or what it is, but I feel really good. I'm happy to be here and the show is amazing," she added.
