AUSTIN, TEXAS: After becoming social media official, ‘Unapologetically’ singer Kelsea Ballerini and ‘Outer Banks’ star Chase Stokes have now made their relationship public as they appeared together in the 2023 CMT Music Awards on Sunday, April 2, 2023. As the couple attended the ceremony held in Moody Center in Austin, Texas, they were seen embracing each other, while happiness was clearly visible on their faces.

During the preshow before the awards ceremony, the ‘Heartfirst’ singer said that she had a "really hot date tonight," and added, “I'm really really happy and it's really nice to... this is our first outing so I'm like, 'Come on into my world and then bring me into Charleston”, referring to the filming location of Banks’s TV series Outer Banks films. She also added, “I don't know if it's the big moments on TV or where I am in my life or what it is, but I feel really good. I'm happy to be here and the show is amazing," as reported by Daily Mail.

Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes' relationship timeline

In February 2023, the ‘Feel Your Way Through’ author confirmed her relationship with Stokes while narrating how it all started on Alex Cooper's 'Call Her Daddy' podcast. She said that she messaged him directly despite not watching any of his shows, “I just swan dove right on in,” Ballerini said before joking, “His handle is '@hichasestokes,' and I said, 'Hi, Chase Stokes.’”

On March 6, 2023, the ‘Homecoming Queen?’ crooner posted a couple of photos of herself lovingly looking at her beau along with a montage of other photos where the duo could be seen enjoying each other’s company along with other friends. They were also joined by the Kansas City Chiefs footballer Travis Kelce.

Previous relationships

Before getting into a relationship with the ‘Tell Me Your Secrets’ actor, Ballerini was previously married to Morgan Evans. After five years of marriage, the estranged couple filed for divorce in November 2022. In the same 'Call Her Daddy' podcast interview, when she was asked whether she cared about Evans feeling bad for her moving on, the country singer replied firmly, “No, because I'm not married to him anymore and I don't need to care about his feelings anymore,” before adding, “I hope he is protected from whatever he needs to be protected from seeing — I hope he has people in his life that help him do that — [but] that is not my job.”

Stokes, on the other hand, was in a relationship with his ‘Outer Banks’ co-star Madelyn Cline. In June 2020, the ‘Stranger Things’ actor announced that he is in a relationship with Cline. After dating for more than a year, the couple broke up in October 2021.

Another gushed, "Prettiest couple ever." A fan, who is happy at them being together, said "Yayy!! Love them together." 

While another fan said, "I’m too emotionally invested in Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes." "Chase Stokes went from Madelyn Cline, who hasn't booked a role since 2021 and is famous for her lip fillers, to Kelsea Ballerini who is talented, performed on SNL, is hosting CMA awards, on a sold out tour, is loved by millions. Bro upgraded to the highest degree," commented another.
