Created by David Weil, the upcoming sci-fi action series primarily focuses on the international global spy agency called ‘Citadel’ that fell eight years ago. Without any guesses, as soon as the agency fell, a lot of spies lost their jobs and some had to lose their memories in order to forget all the secrets about the agency. However, two of the agency’s elite spies – Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) – were able to leave everything behind and narrowly escape to start a new life. The official synopsis reads, “Eight years ago, Citadel fell. The independent global spy agency—tasked to uphold the safety and security of all people—was destroyed by operatives of Manticore, a powerful syndicate manipulating the world from the shadows. With Citadel’s fall, elite agents Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives. They’ve remained hidden ever since, building new lives under new identities, unaware of their pasts.”
However, things change when Mason gets tracked down by one of his former ‘Citadel’ colleagues, Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci), who desperately needs his help to destroy Manticore, a powerful organization that is manipulating the entire world from the shadows. Mason accepts the job and seeks out his former partner, Nadia, to stop the Manticore. The duo embarks on a journey to save the world and start a relationship that is built on secrets.
