It's not easy for people to balance work and family life. According to People, Umansky admitted that he is still working to keep the balance between "his duties as a father and boss to his children". He said, "When you're working with your family, you can bring all that stress with you." However, Umansky believes in leaving tension at the office and having a stress-free environment at home. Alexis calls her father to be "the king of coming home and just shutting down the stress of the work day."

Umansky was born in Mexico on June 25, 1970. The reality star is 52 years old, as of 2022. Umansky immigrated to the United States when he was just six years old. He is a follower of Judaism and also a member of the Hispanic ethnic group. Umansky has a difficult childhood. He was diagnosed with neutropenia, a condition in which white blood cell is generated too low. Therefore, he had to spend several years in the hospital.

Umansky began his career when he was 26. He started his career with a clothing line. Later, the star transitioned into the real estate world and switched to working with Hilton & Hayland. In 2011, he established his own firm called The Agency. Umansky's company has been growing ever since and now specializes in luxury real estate and has high-end clients from Holmby Hills, Malibu, Beverly Hills, and Brentwood.
