Being famous is a boon and a bane. Along with a huge fan following, celebrities will also have a lot of haters who might go to extreme lengths to take them down. In fact, in early 2021, there was a systematic attack against several K-pop idols as false accusations of them being school bullies popped up. School bullying in South Korea is extremely violent and hence the general population turn their backs on the accused when there is even a bit of suspicion based on rumors. And while fortunately, that attack failed with idols gathering evidence, once again we have a YouTuber targeting the likes of BTS’ V.

Quite recently, YouTuber Sojang has been uploading videos targeting celebrities and K-pop idols and blatantly defaming them with ludicrous claims. However, antis have been giving the YouTube videos several views that have led to them going viral with non-fans believing these false accusations. Lately, they targeted BTS’ V aka Kim Taehyung by claiming that he had caused a drunken ruckus and was in a serious incident. A fan took a screenshot of the YouTube channel and posted it on the K-pop platform Weverse which was seen by V who is now ready to sue.

BTS' V to take legal action

Immediately after seeing the post, the BTS star said that he would be taking legal action against the YouTuber. V first cheekily commented, “Oh?!! I will proceed with a lawsuit. I guess I can earn some snack money with this. Even mentioning my family and friends, see ya.” ARMY then showered his post with supportive comments hoping that he wasn’t too affected by the fake rumors. Not only did he reassure fans, but he also added, “I just skimmed through and all artists, not just us, do not like people like that. All fans and ARMY may or may not have monitored this person, but I will sue on behalf of all those who got hurt or do not have the courage to do so.”

In response, the YouTuber left a snarky remark, “Breaking news, V has mentioned my channel on Weverse and has seen my videos. He shouldn’t have said that he could earn ‘snack money’ as that will just make it harder for him, but that’s just V for you. How much bigger will this channel get? This is the one and only YouTube drama channel that world star BTS watches.”

'Deserved'

Angry fans trended #Got_ARMY_Behind_Us as they rallied to support V. One fan shared, “You mess with the wrong guy..louder KIM TAEHYUNG.” They were also impressed as one tweeted, “Taehyung's courageous side is the most powerful and attractive. WE LOVE YOU KIM TAEHYUNG.” And while ARMY are expert at getting things done on their own, they wanted the YouTuber to get taken to court by V himself, “Nobody f*cking do anything to that youtuber, yall grab ur pop corns  and watch tae.” And while fans were upset that V had to see the rumors himself they said, “I mean, at least he/she is getting sued as deserved.”
