BTS V gets two Guinness World Records for 1M and 10M Instagram followers in a day
BTS’ V aka Kim Taehyung just might be one of the biggest artists in the world. Apart from his powerful vocals, good looks and graceful moves, he now seems to be an Instagram pro. He went from struggling to follow on Instagram to creating an aesthetic feed and using it to tease new songs and get on with the current memes. We also saw his evident influence as he broke two Guinness World Records on the day he opened Instagram.
V has entered the 2022 Guinness World Record book for having the fastest Instagram account to get 1 million and 10 million followers in a day. ARMY all over the world were shocked when all of the BTS members opened their personal Instagram accounts to communicate with fans on their vacation. It is no exaggeration that BTS is one of the biggest groups. Their loyal fanbase continues to grow leading to sold-out merch, albums and concerts. BTS in fact became the first act to have four sold-out concerts at SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles. And so it was no surprise that all of the BTS members quickly ended up crossing the 1 million, 5 million, 10 million and 20 million mark on Instagram within days of opening their personal accounts. We have V in the leading as he is the fastest Instagram holder to reach 1 million followers in 43 minutes of opening his account. This record was previously held by NCT’s Taeil.
V also has the fastest Instagram account to reach 10 million followers i.e., in 4 hours and 52 minutes of opening his account. And so, Guinness has recorded that he has broken two world records in a day with these two milestones. He currently has 25.7 million followers. All of the other BTS members also have more than 22 million followers and continue to rise every time a fan checks their accounts. V has also become the second most followed male K-pop idol following GOT7’s Jackson Wang.
The BTS star is also the most followed K-pop male idol in six days. V even is the first Asian act to have three Instagram posts with over 16 million likes. He also has the four most-liked Instagram posts by an Asian act. Additionally, he has the most-liked post by an Asian act that he achieved in 22 hours and 50 minutes which was previously held by Blackpink’s Lisa.
