Las Vegas is turning into BTS-land as hotels prepare for the four-day 'PTD On Stage' concert

It looks like Las Vegas is going to turn into a BTS city with the way everyone is going all out for the ‘Permission To Dance On Stage - Las Vegas’ concerts. April is a good month for BTS  and their fans ARMY, as the global K-pop group will be performing at the Grammys where they are also nominated. And just a couple of days after the music award show, they will hold their four-day concert in the same city but at a larger venue. And BigHit is doing everything they can to make it the best experience.

Over 11 major hotels in Las Vegas are going to give special treatment to ARMY from discounts to BTS-themed rooms decorated with their official color purple, and goodies. In fact, MGM, one of the biggest hotels in the city, will also be using their arena for the live-streaming of the BTS concerts, while the boys perform at Allegiant Stadium. Fans also found it hilarious that one of the incentives by MGM for staying with them was providing fans with photocards of BTS, which is exclusive to K-pop culture and one of the most prized possessions of a K-pop fan.

Las Vegas prepares for BTS concerts

Fans have ended up dubbing the preparations of Las Vegas for BTS’ concerts as "borahaefication". V had come up with the pun "borahae" made from the Korean words "saranghae" (I love you) and "borasaek" (purple). "Borahae" means "I purple you" or "I love you till the end of days" since purple is the last rainbow color. And so fans are ready to see their favorite color take over all of Las Vegas in April. BTS will be at the Grammy Awards on April 3, followed by their concerts on April 8-9 and April 15-16.

‘Let the borahaefication commence’

One ARMY tweeted, “I can’t believe BTS is literally taking over Vegas. but then I’m like, OF COURSE THEY ARE!!” Another fan flexed, “I'll willingly admit that I'm petty. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I rejoice at the fact that the US music industry & media are going to LV for Grammys, only to arrive in Boracity, all set to receive @BTS_twt Let the borahaefication commence.”

One fan wondered what MGM must have thought about photocards being a huge deal, “MGM Resorts: help me out here- what could possibly attract Army to book a room with u- BigHit: photocards. MGM Resorts: excuse me? BigHit: just trust me.”

Another ARMY posted, “Vegas is about to bathe in purple lights. They even have a special hashtag 😍 #BTS_THE_CITY_LasVegas.” One fan was shocked, “THERE ARE PHOTOCARDS???? THERE'S A NOTE CARD??? OH MY THEYRE REALLY GOING ALL OUT!” Another said, “I can’t believe the mention of BTS photo cards crashed the entire MGM website.”

One fan commented, “The mgm grand garden arena is literally for live concerts for big western artists but bts is using it as a live play viewing theatre while they perform a few blocks away at a 65k capacity stadium. yeah, that’s hot.” Another made a reaction meme, “Pov: locals checking into one of the MGM properties that have the bts themed rooms and it’s army karaoke night in the lobby lmaoo.”

The news of the Vegas preparations has also led to a new meme alert where a purple cloud threatens to cover all of Las Vegas. One fan asked, “Can these hotels light up in purple, too? #BTS_THE_CITY_LasVegas Here comes the borafication of Las Vegas! Be prepared!” Another ARMY said, “Bighit is really turning vegas into a bts festival.” One fan added, “I'm loving this hashtag 🥳 @BTS_twt #BTS_THE_CITY_LasVegas."
