'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 12: Lynn finally realizes the truth about ASA and her addiction

Till now, Lynn didn't even realize that she is addicted because she thought she had removed the addictive portion from the drug

Throughout 'Black Lightning' Season 3, Dr Lynn Stewart (Christine Adams) has struggled with her addiction to Green Light. To make matters worse, she didn't even realize that she is addicted because she thought she removed the addictive portion from the drug. But now in Episode 12 'The Book of Markovia: Chapter Three', Lynn finally discovers the truth.

In the last episode, the Markovians captured Lynn, who had just found a way to temporarily synthesize metahuman powers — something that the Markovians would stop at nothing to be able to control. Black Lightning / Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) finds himself teaming up with the ASA to end the fight with the Markovians once and for all and rescue Lynn from the foreigners.

While being held a prisoner by the Markovians, the enemy leader Colonel Yuri Mosin (Thomas K Belgrey) finally reveals to Lynn that Agent Odell (Bill Duke) conditioned her into becoming a Green Light addict so that he could better control her. The revelation is pretty devastating for Lynn, especially considering she lashed out at Jefferson the last time he tried to help her overcome her addiction, but hopefully, now she will finally be able to find her path back to the light.

Unfortunately, she has a lot more to deal with right now, trying to deal with her withdrawal symptoms while being imprisoned alongside Dr Helga Jace (Jennifer Riker), who just wants to get the stabilization formula from her. Lynn's only hope right now is that her family can find her before she is forced to divulge her secrets, or worse.  

According to the official synopsis for the episode: "Jefferson (Cress Williams) and Anissa (Nafessa Williams) join forces with the ASA to help one of their own. Meanwhile, Lynn (Christine Adams) is forced to continue battling her demons. China Anne McClain, James Remar, Damon Gupton, Marvin Jones III and Jordan Calloway also star."

'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 13 will air on The CW on February 10.
