'Any Body Can Dance': NCT's Taeyong gets his 1st MC gig with 'SWF' leaders
NCT’s Taeyong is truly an all-rounder. From being the leader of a 23-member group to also being a soloist, rapper, singer and dancer, he also became the judge of the hotly-anticipated dance survival show ‘Street Woman Fighter’. Fans were further impressed as he was to co-judge with soloist BoA who was one of the pioneers of the Hallyu Wave in the West. And now Taeyong is to reunite with the ‘Street Woman Fighter’ participants to host the new reality show ‘Any Body Can Dance’.
‘Street Woman Fighter’ was the very first survival show for all-female dance crews which gave a national platform to the backbone of the K-pop industry and allowed the general public to see the hardships and the talent of backup dancers and choreographers. And with its immense success, there have been all kinds of sequels and spin-offs. We got ‘Street Girls Dance Fighter’ for teenage crews, while ‘Street Man Fighter’ is getting a prequel show ‘Be Mbitious’. Well, along with shows for professional dancers, Mnet has launched a reality show where those interested can learn dancing from the same professionals.

Taeyong to MC ‘Any Body Can Dance’
On April 28, it was announced that Mnet would be launching the dance reality show ‘Any Body Can Dance’ whose MC is none other than NCT’s Taeyong. He shared that he was nervous but was excited to connect the aspiring dancers with the dance masters. This will be his first hosting gig ever in his six-year music career. The show will bring in amateur dancers who love dancing but can’t dance well. They will be given a chance to follow their passion by learning from dance masters who are none other than the leaders of the crew that competed on ‘Street Woman Fighter’.
‘Any Body Can Dance’ has received an explosive reaction as over 2,500 applications have been sent in from kindergartners to people in their 50s. We also have celebrities like actors and comedians to doctors and professors from all over the world like the US, Japan and Indonesia. With such an overwhelming response, Mnet has decided to hold a street audition on April 30. Those who are selected will have to audition at Hongdae Festival Street and Gangnam Square with the show set to air in June on Mnet.
