Spoilers for 'And Just Like That' Episode 6 'Diwali'

It's Thursday and that means it's time for another drama-filled episode of 'And Just Like That'. HBO Max's reboot has been turning up the wokeness with new developments in many of the characters' lives, one of them being Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon).

In episode 5 we see her do something impulsive when, in one shocking scene, she ends up having sex with Carrie Bradshaw's (Sarah Jessica Parker) boss Che Diaz!(Sara Ramirez) Now, this wasn't entirely out of the blue as the flirtatious chemistry between the two played out in an earlier episode before culminating in kitchen sex in Episode 5. Miranda breaks down in front of Carrie but says that she had never felt more alive than after her encounter which Che and that she didn't want to stop. Looks like Che hasn't left her mind ever since in the sixth episode.

The sixth episode sees Miranda lost in her thoughts, daydreaming about her tryst with Che that left her breathless. All throughout the episode she constantly has fantasies about what happened during random intervals of the day. Even in bed, she cannot keep her mind off of what went down and masturbates while replaying moments from her sexual tryst with Che.

Over lunch, Charlotte (Kristin Davis) learns of this when Miranda finally comes clean to her when she brings up her obsessive masturbation. Clearly shocked, her friend points out that it is an affair. Miranda defensively replies that it was not an affair but just a finger. Charlotte doesn't agree with this logic and asks if she's gay now, but Miranda doesn't know what this means herself. Che had previously told Miranda that if she wanted to ever 'chill' again then she should just send a DM. Well, Miranda does exactly that when at the end of the episode we see her send Che a message on Instagram asking if they want to hang out.

In the original series Steve had cheated on Miranda who later forgave him, but in the 20 years that have passed, as 'And Just Like That' has established, she is unhappy in her dead marriage. She feels like she just has a child with a roommate. With the way Miranda's arc is panning out, it's not a far stretch to say that having experienced something new, fresh, and exciting about her sexuality, she may end her marriage with Steve. Looks like we'll just have to keep watching to find out if the former redhead will choose her hot new 'something' with Che over stability with Steve.

'And Just Like That' returns with new episodes every Thursday on HBO Max
