Ginger-haired singer Cassandra Coleman was the second performer from the Top 24 lineup to take the stage during the All-Star duets and solo performances with the song 'Apologize'. For those who don't know, Cassandra auditioned for this season with One Republic's 'Apologize'. This was the first song written by frontman Ryan Tedder for the band's debut album 'Dreaming Out Loud' and just like the original, Cassandra made it truly special by putting her own spin on it.

Cassandra received the honor of performing the song once again but this time with Ryan Tedder accompanying her while she did so. Cassandra was excited as well as nervous after discovering that she was partnering with Tedder for her celebrity duet performance. He did ask her about her audition performance to the song but she was quick to request "never google it please."

Cassandra was a superstar even before she came on the show. She has a huge following on the Smule app and her voice has the capability of invoking some of the deeply buried feelings of her listeners. She once again wielded magic on the stage during her duet with Tedder who himself was in his element with his famed big noted and crazy runs.

Cassandra's fascinating performance helped her to receive a lot of appreciation and love from the judges. Lionel Richie said that she was a "dream come true" but at the same time advised her to have a little fun with her performance and not "try to concentrate" so much because it showed on her face and did take away a little from her performance, in his opinion.

The best compliment Cassandra received was from Katy Perry who said her voice was "a spiritual experience and otherworldly." Katy didn't stop at that and mentioned that she was a mother and she had stopped shaving her legs. Elaborating further on why she was bringing these details up, Katy said "the hair on my leg grew an inch and a half so full-body chills." To prove her point a little further, she whipped her legs on the table and fellow judge Luke Bryan confirmed that her legs were indeed hairy.
