Update: For the auditions, Cassandra sang 'The Way It Was' by The Killers. After her performance, Katy Perry said, " I didn't like it, I loved it" while Luke Bryan noted, "it's so inspiring when it is straight-up god-given." Lionel Richie asked her to play something for them on the piano and she chose One Republic's Apologize' and she blew it out of the park.

Another singer to join the fierce competition that 'American Idol' Season 19 is shaping up to be is Cassandra Coleman from Columbia, Tennessee. This 20-something ginger-haired crooner's audition is scheduled to appear in the episode that will air on February 21, according to her Instagram bio, an event that she's quite excited about.

For audiences who are wondering if she's made it out of the audition room with a golden ticket, the answer is yes and it was confirmed through one of the trailers. A quick listen to her music confirms the fact that Cassandra is in it for the long run. While there are a huge number of singers with varied expertise in multiple genres, Cassandra's voice will leave you experiencing a profound melancholic longing for an absent someone in the most beautiful way.

Cassandra Coleman's popularity on Smule

"Hi! My name's Cassandra. I sing 24/7, sooo I thought I'd start posting some of that singing! Hope that my covers can somehow give you a little bit of the happiness that singing gives me," she signs off with a smile on her SoundCloud account where she posts her music regularly. Cassandra has been sharing her gift of creating music with her fans for a long time.

She truly believes the words she's written in her bio both on Instagram and Facebook that read, "just a speck in this beautiful universe, trying to contribute what I can," and does so through her ability to sing with a voice that can permeate the deepest crevices of one's heart.

Her page has close to 4800 followers on Facebook but Smule is where she's gained most of her fans from. Cassandra is followed by close to 45K people on her Smule handle @cassietheginger where she has uploaded close to 21.6K recordings for her listeners.

This also includes the cover of 'Adore' by Jasmine Thompson, the video for which was sponsored by the app itself. Smule was no stranger to the popularity and the traffic Cassandra's account was attracting and they were quick to cash in on the same.

Such was the beauty of Cassandra's version of this song that a couple of viewers thought that she did more justice to it than the original artiste.  "I really love Jasmine Thompson, but I have to say... This is better than the original! This is great," read a comment on the video. "That was the most beautiful performance I have ever heard or watched. Cassie is going to do huge things someday!!!" read another comment.

"Cassie, I've been following you for a while on Smule. And even though you are already such an amazing success.. it's still pretty cool knowing that some fine day I will be able to say.. "I (kinda) knew her when.." So many great things are in store for you lovely!" wrote a fan of the young singer while another fan called her, "Absoutely Flawless and Magical!"
