LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 21 Episode 4 got a little bit delayed because of The Academy Awards 2023. The judges of the ABC network show have assured viewers that the latest episode will be a must-watch.

The singing competition is getting more intense, with many aspiring singing sensations auditioning for a chance to get a golden ticket to Hollywood. Additionally, the latest episode has also a fun ride with one of the contestants Savanna Christian. She brought a virtual game and 'American Idol' judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie really enjoyed playing it.

Savanna Christian becomes first contestant to audition in 'American Idol' metaverse

Savanna, 23, a teacher from Darlington, South Carolina, brought Virtual Reality glasses to the 'American Idol' stage. She introduced a metaverse game to Katy, Luke, and Lionel. Savanna's friend created 'Metaverse Idol' which operates as a singing competition but not in the real world. Savanna tried hard to bring something new, unique as well as exciting and she succeeded in that. The elementary school teacher, who aspires to be a singer, gave VR glasses to the judges to play the game. Katy, Luke, and Lionel seemingly also had fun. However, Savanna's unique move didn't support her singing skills.

Savanna Christian gets 'no'

Savanna performed a rendition of 'Eye of the Tiger' but got a no from the judges. Her metaverse did add a bit of fun but doesn't enhance her less-than-qualifying vocals. Lionel, Katy, and Luke said no to Savanna and she didn't make it to Hollywood. Additionally, 'American Idol' viewers also agreed with the judges' decision. Social media users took to Twitter to share their reactions to Savanna's audition. A social media user wrote, "Sorry Savanna, we love the game, but this is a singing competition #AmericanIdol."

Another user penned, "Savanna went to a LOT of effort for that NO #AmericanIdol." Another user added, "No man the metaverse is a NO for me #americanidol." One tweeted, "Eye of the Tiger performed by Savannah from Darlington, SC who created metaverse. And the judges are playing games."

One social media user said, "OMGarsh! I wanna do MetaVerse."
