While Cole did make an effort to be more confident, the absence of his sister during the Hollywood Week, put a damper on his spirits. He performed to Billy Joel's 'Vienna'. Even though he started off slow, he picked up eventually and left the judges impressed with his vocals. Luke couldn't help but point out again that Cole needed to learn to be more confident and declared that he can't keep making it through "dice rolls". But the judges decided to roll it for him for one last time.

The judges also remarked on how the song he picked didn't completely flatter his vocals, but decided to give him a pass for it since he began performing only recently. Fans were pleased with the judges' decision to send him to the next round. A fan commented on the show's YouTube clip of his performance with, "When someone gets outside of their comfort zone.....and delivers. That’s how it works." "I really like Cole but I hope the next song he picks really showcases what his voice can do. I can see him being the next Indie Folk star!" wrote a fan. Another fan added, "He has a unique voice. Love it."
