After singers like Luke Taylor, Aaron Westberry, Christian Guardino, and a few others earned the coveted golden ticket on the second episode of ‘American Idol’ Season 20, a contestant named Lady K walked in for the auditions and soon left the judges namely Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie emotional. The Alabama native decided to serenade the trio with Katy’s hit single ‘Wide Awake’ and she did succeed in it.

Before leaving the judges of the singing reality show impressed, Lady K revealed how she and her family were shattered after her brother died by suicide. The 25-year-old crooner, who brought letters for all the judges, left Katy Perry teary-eyed after she showed her exceptional singing skills on her song. Getting nods from all the judges, the musician also got a thumbs up from social media. However, the Internet felt she deserved the platinum ticket adding that Katy, Luke, and Lionel gave away the platinum ticket too early. Kenedi Anderson, who showed up before Lady K grabbed the rare platinum ticket on episode two. Lionel after Lady K’s audition said that it made his day and that she was here for an absolute purpose. Luke, on the other hand, dubbed her performance as tremendous as he too held back his tears.
