The premiere episode of ‘American Idol’ Season 20 gave a perfect start to the show as judges namely Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie got impressed by the likes of Camryn Champion, Normandy, Taylor Jalen Fagens, and Danielle Finn among a few others. Fans of the singing reality show flocked to Twitter as a contestant named HunterGirl won the very first platinum ticket of the season.
 
Speaking of episode two of Season 20, singers namely Kelsie Dolin, Christian Guardino, Luke G Taylor, Mike Parker, Kenedi Anderson, Aaron Westberry, and Kurtis Bell among others are expected to make an appearance in front of the judges. Isaiah Jaay is another singer who is expected to floor the audience with his exceptional singing skills. ‘American idol’ 20 airs on ABC and speaking of the latest season, it returned to the network for the fifth time. It was earlier aired on Fox for whopping 15 seasons.

Who is Isaiah Jaay?

Isaiah Jaay is a LA native who enjoys more than 25K followers on Instagram. He identifies himself as an R&B crooner and is also a songwriter. He is apparently good at dancing and is also a Mashup extraordinaire. Jaay’s grandfather is a lead singer for the gospel group Mighty Cloud of Joy. Shedding light on his social media life, the singer-songwriter’s Instagram bio reads, “From Overlooked To Overbooked” along with an emoticon of a space rocket. The ‘American Idol’ contestant has also dropped an EP called ‘Prologue’. He earlier released an independent project called ‘B.E.R.E.T’ which debuted at number three on the R&B iTunes Chart.
 
Isaiah Jaay, who started singing at a church at the age of seven, is also a part of Kanye West’s Sunday Service Choir. He has also opened up for artistes such as Eric Bellinger, Mila J, & Ginuwine. The official site of Jaay reads, “With his fun personality, everlasting energy, and unique style of dressing and singing, Isaiah just wants to inspire everyone to be themselves no matter what the situation is and who they are around, the embodiment of B.E.R.E.T. BERET stands for a Better Energy Requires Exclusive Taste.” Jaay will reportedly hit the audition with a special guest something which has never happened before on all 20 seasons of ‘American Idol’. On Instagram, he stated, “What if I told you, I’m doing something nobody has ever done in all 20 seasons of American Idol in my audition w/ a special guest.” In one of his Instagram stories, the singer had earlier said, “If it’s in the God’s plan, tomorrow will change my life.”

The second episode of ‘American Idol’ season 20 will air on ABC at 8 pm ET. The show is expected to air a total of 18 episodes and might wrap up in late May. The auditions for the new season were held in Los Angeles, Austin, and Nashville. Online auditions too happened with virtual sessions. While the format of the show will remain the same, a new platinum ticket has been introduced that would allow the holders to skip the first day of Hollywood Week.
