‘Emergency Declaration’ is the next Korean blockbuster and its VIP premiere saw tons of A-listers on the red carpet. We had the likes of actors, idols and idol actors like AOA’s Seolhyun, Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, Yerin, BIGBANG’s T.O.P, BTS’ V and more. But one guest’s appearance had K-pop Twitter buzzing with theories. Along with V, we had his group member Jin also attending the movie premiere which had fans wondering if the eldest BTS star is going into acting. In fact, days before the premiere, the lead actor Kim Nam-gil hinted that he had worked with Jin.

Well, whether we are getting actor Jin or not soon, the BTS member did hint at his next project which just might be his solo debut album. On July 26, after the movie premiere, Jin came online on Weverse and thanked fans for supporting him and calming his nerves. It looks like he also knew about the ‘Actor Jin’ hashtag that had been trending for the last few days as he cheekily responded to it. Jin wrote, “I had fun watching the movie! I didn’t star in the movie but thank you to all the ARMYs that came to support me. Thanks to you, my nerves relaxed a little. ARMY I love you.”

Jin hints at solo music

A couple of minutes later, Jin then added, “I’m working hard preparing with my main job as well so everyone, please just wait a little bit.” With Jin phrasing his message in such a way, some fans think that he is working on two projects together, one being a film and the other his solo album as being an idol is his ‘main job’. Ever since BTS announced ‘Chapter 2’ of their careers, the members are focusing on solo endeavours. J-hope was the first member to make his solo debut and fans were expecting RM to be next. But we just might get a Jin album much sooner than expected.

BTS is nothing if not the epitome of ‘never let them know your next move’. While they had confessed that group activities like songs and concerts would be on pause since they were focusing on their solo careers, that doesn’t seem to be the case. We are getting a Busan concert, as well as a collaboration with benny blanco and Snoop Dogg. And while RM had shared he would be the next member to make his solo debut following J-hope, it looks like other members like Suga, V, Jimin and now even Jin are working on their solo music.

‘We can’t wait’

ARMY are excited as they tweeted, “Yes, Seokjinah!! We’re already excited for whatever you’re preparing! 🥰👏🏼🤗Plz don’t stress yourself, our WWH Prince!” Another fan asked how long they would have to wait, “I need to know what a bit means because I need to plan my life around it.” One posted, “KSJ1 COMING OMG WE CAN'T WAIT.”

Those who are excited for his acting debut shared, “Next time you'll star in it.” Others wondered if he was giving a hint, “Wdym by star,” and “WHAT DO YOU MEAN AS WELL?” Another ARMY was confident, “He's giving SPOILER.” One fan shared, We’re one step closer to actor jin… i can feel it.”
