21-year-old Abigail Brooks literally swept off the fans and judges with her impressive vocals during the auditions for 'American Idol' Season 20. Abigail, a resident of Castle Rock, Colorado, revealed in her introduction package that she worked as a barista at a coffee shop, but that her true passion was singing. Every day after the customers left and the shop was closed, Abigail revealed that she used to grab the broom and pretended like it was a microphone and sang to it while imagining giving a live performance to the audience!

The barista expressed her nervousness about auditioning for the ABC singing competition show with her trusty broom by her side. Luckily for Abigail, the judges- Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan, intervened and got her a broom. Armed with a broom, Abigail immediately launched into her audition and gave a moving performance to 'Vincent' by Don McLean. After listening to her sing, Lionel couldn't help but immediately be reminded of his dear friend and fellow singer Barbara Streisand. The judges couldn't stop raving about her amazing vocals and immediately handed out a golden ticket to her.
