The world has been craving for a good business/political show and finally, the streaming gods seem to have answered our collective prayers. 'A Man in Full' is set to release on May 2, 2024 on Netflix. The series is an adaptation of Tom Wolfe's book of the same name. It was created by David E. Kelly and has six episodes. 

 'A Man in Full' was announced on November 4, 2021, and filming began in Atlanta, Georgia on August 8, 2022. David E. Kelly Productions and Royal Ties Productions have produced this series. 

What is the plot of 'A Man in Full'?

'A Man in Full' follows the journey of an Atlanta-based real estate mogul Charlie Croker (Jeff Daniels) who is now bankrupt. His fall attracts the attention of those who want to capitalize on his misfortune and he must defend his frailing empire from them. 

The bankruptcy has an impact on his family life and on who he is as a person too. 'A Man in Full' is about how Charlie Croker embraces the task of rebuilding his empire while facing personal and professional challenges along the way.  

The official synopsis reads, "Facing relentless foes and sudden bankruptcy, an Atlanta real estate tycoon must claw his way back to the top when his empire begins to crumble"

Jeff Daniels

Jeff Daniels is a veteran American actor, born on February 19, 1955. He has been acclaimed for his versatile performances on stage and screen. His accolades include two Primetime Emmy Awards and nominations for Screen Actor Guild Awards, Tony Awards, and Golden Globe awards. 

He made his debut with the film 'Ragtime' directed by Milos Forman in 1981. One of his most acclaimed works came in 'Purple Rose of Cairo' (1985) directed by Woody Allen. Through a career spanning four decades, he has acted in films like 'Dumb and Dumber' (1994), '101 Dalmations' (1996), 'The Hours' (2002), and 'The Martian' (2015) among others. 

He played the role of 'Will McAvoy' in HBO's 'The Newsroom' and received the 2013 Primetime Emmy Award for his performance. Jeff is also known for his roles on stage in plays like Aaron Sorkin's 'To Kill a Mockingbird' and Yasmina Reza's 'God of Carnage'. 

Diane Lane

Diane Lane is an American actress who was born on January 22, 1965. She received great acclaim for her performance in 'Unfaithful' (2002) for which she earned herself an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.

Among her frequent collaborators, is Francis Ford Coppola, with whom she has worked in four films. She also played the role of Martha Kent in 'Man of Steel' (2013) and had a recurring role in the subsequent films of the DC Universe.

Apart from 'A Man in Full', she is also set to star in the upcoming thriller movie Anniversary. 

William Jackson Harper 

William Jackson Harper is a popular American actor who is known for his performance in NBC's 'The Good Place'. He admitted that he wanted to quit acting before he landed a role in this series. He received rave reviews for his performance in the show and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award. 

His play 'Travisville' premiered in 2018 at the Ensemble Studio Theatre. The play was inspired by the displacement of the poor Black community. 

He acted in the miniseries 'The Underground Railroad' on Prime Video and was nominated for the Critics' Choice Television Award.
