'A Dickens of a Holiday!': 5 things you need to know about Brooke D'Orsay
Hallmark is back with a fresh Countdown to Christmas movie and this one encourages us to give and spread joy as Scrooge learns. Yep, that's right 'A Dickens of a Holiday' will see Charles Dickens' 1843 novella be used as the central plot of the flick.
The Hallmark movie will see Cassie hope to make the 100th anniversary of her hometown's Victorian festival a success. But when a major setback occurs she invites action movie star and former high school classmate Jake to play a part in 'A Christmas Carol.' What follows is a reunion and maybe love on the card for the two! If this got you feeling the Christmas vibes then do check out 'Christmas Sail' and 'Making Spirits Bright' as well. Brooke D'Orsay as Cassie
Brooke D'Orsay is a Canadian actress who had her first big role in the movie 'Why Can't I Be a Movie Star?' in 2001. She followed that up with many supporting and recurring roles in various tv shows and movies. She can be seen in 'Beautiful Girl','The Big Bang Theory', 'How I Met Your Mother', 'Psych', 'Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle', and more. Her more prominent work as the lead is in 'Gary Unmarried', 'Happy Hour' and 'Royal Pains'. D'Orsay has also voiced the character of Caitlin Cooke on the animated series '6teen'.
The actress is no stranger to the Hallmark channel and viewers can recognize her from the movies 'A Godwink Christmas: Second Chance, First Love', 'Christmas in Love', 'How to Fall in Love', and more. She is set to appear as the leading lady in the channel's Countdown to Christmas movie 'A Dickens of a Holiday!'.
Kristoffer Polaha as Jake
Kristoffer Polaha is an American actor who began his journey with theatre productions and has since gone on to star in many tv and movie roles. His work includes starring in 'CSI: Miami', 'Hawaii Five-0', 'Castle', 'Made in Jersey', 'Mad Men' and more. The actor has taken up the pe and co-authored a romance novel which is set to be part of a series that he plans to produce for film and television through his production company Podunk Productions. He most recently also had a minor role in DC's ' Wonder Woman 1984' and also bagged a role in the upcoming movie ' Jurassic World: Dominion'.
So far Polaha has also appeared in close to ten Hallmark projects and has shared that he's leaning into the channel as the family-friendly movies are something he can share with his kids. He will play the lead role of the action star Jake in 'A Dickens of a Holiday!'.
