When it comes to romance, Hallmark never disappoints. The network has readied a spate of movies as part of its annual 'Summer Nights' programming event, of which 'Sweet Pecan Summer' is one. The premise is about old flames reconnecting and how they find it difficult selling a pecan farm. Hopefully, it won't be as simple as it sounds right now. The network has a way of adding twists to simple narratives.

'Sweet Pecan Summer' will premiere on August 28, Saturday at 9/8c on Hallmark Channel. If you don't have access to cable TV, subscribing to live TV streaming services such as Philo, Sling TV, Vidgo, and Fubo TV is an option. Spoilers and cast
Utilizing an old romance trope, 'Sweet Pecan Summer' will bring ex-lovers Amanda (Christine Ko) and JP (Wes Brown) together. Her aunt gives them the herculean task of selling the family pecan farm, which they find tough at first. They clash like no one's business but are hopefully able to reach a middle ground.
The official synopsis reads: "Stuck having to work with each other, Amanda and J.P. are at odds on practically every decision on how to sell the pecan farm. But the more time the former flames spend together, the more they reconnect and old feelings start to rekindle."
