Hallmark 'Christmas Sail': 5 things you didn't know about Katee Sackhoff
Hallmark's 'Christmas Sail' is the ideal family movie if you're looking to add a special movie to watch during the holiday season. The feel-good movie tells us the story about Liz rebuilding her relationship with her estranged father, Denis, as they spend their Christmas together. She also sets an example for her daughter about the importance of family and relationships.
'Christmas Sail' stars award-winning actress, Katee Sackhoff (as Liz), Patrick Sabongui (as Luke), and Terry O'Quinn (as Denis). The film will be out on Hallmark up until everyone's favorite holiday as part of Hallmark's Christmas Countdown.

Katee Sackhoff as Liz Darling
Katee Sackhoff, born as Kathryn Ann Sackhoff, is a famous American actress known for her roles in 'Battlestar Galactica', for which she was nominated for 4 Saturn Awards, and even won the award for Best Supporting Actress on Television!
Sackhoff played the lead in 'Halloween: Resurrection', 'White Noise: The Light', 'Sexy Evil Genius', 'Riddick', 'Oculus', and 'Don't Knock Twice', among many others for which she created a name for herself. In addition, Sackhoff also has recurring roles as Amunet on 'The Flash', and appeared twice on 'The Big Bang Theory'.'
She voices several characters including Bitch Pudding on Adult Swim's stop motion animated series 'Robot Chicken'.
Sackhoff has an online store and the actress states: "My mother and I have set up Fly Free Charity, an organization we’ve created that will take the charitable proceeds from the items sold in the store and distribute them amongst various charities of my choosing."
Her biography on IMDb reveals that she graduated from Sunset High School in Beaverton in 1998. She began swimming at an early age and by high school, was planning to pursue a career in the sport until her right knee was injured. So if not for the injury, we are sure Sackhoff would have been winning medals for the country.
Patrick Sabongui as Luke
Patrick Sabongui, born and raised in Montreal, is fluent in English, Arabic, and Arabic, having grown up in a trilingual household. Sabongui is popularly known for his roles on 'The Flash', 'Homeland', 'Get Shorty', 'The Good Doctor', and 'Shooter', on television. Sabongui’s film roles include '300', 'Watchman', 'Sucker Punch', 'Drone', 'Breaking Fast', 'Power Rangers', and 'Godzilla'. What's more, Sabongui also has produced and directed several award-winning short films, some of which include 'Chained', 'The Prince', 'Ariel Unraveling', 'Spirit Glitch', 'An International Girl', and 'The Letter Carrier'.
