What is You Go Natural?

You Go Natural, or YGN, is a brand that has revolutionized the world of hair accessories for those with textured hair. Monique founded YGN in 2016, and it has grown from humble beginnings in a single room to an 8,000-square-foot production facility in East Dallas. The brand is devoted to providing useful and beautiful hair accessories for persons with textured hair, making style and protection easy and elegant.

The YGN product line is intended to bring ease and style to individuals who may not have the time or finances to devote to daily hair care. The company sells satin-lined headgear for both men and women, including headbands, headwraps, turbans, and durags. Another novel addition is the swim turban collection, which provides hair protection when swimming.

The use of satin lining in YGN's hair accessories is revolutionary for textured hair. Silk's natural fibers may combine with shed skin cells and hair remnants, making it less breathable and more difficult to maintain. In contrast, synthetic stain provides the breathability and washability required to keep hair accessories clean and fresh. YGN is proud of the high-quality materials utilized in the production of its hair accessories. YGN suggests washing their items inside out with cold water and comparable colors on a gentle cycle to preserve their durability and endurance. Using a mesh laundry care bag for further protection can help reduce snagging and fabric damage. When it comes to drying, tumble dry on low is advised, with bleach and dry cleaning avoided. Once the accessories have dried, use a light iron to reshape the fabric, ensuring that the accessory retains its elegance and shape.

You Go Natural has struck a chord with numerous people who respect the usefulness and beauty of their hair accessories. The brand's dedication to making style and protection simple and attractive has resulted in a devoted fan base and a profitable company. YGN has transformed the hair accessory business for persons with textured hair by providing creative, useful, and fashionable items that are built with the requirements of the consumers in mind. YGN has become a trusted brand for people looking for ease and style in their hair care regimen due to the usage of synthetic satin lining and an emphasis on quality materials.

Who are the founders of You Go Natural?

Monique is the founder and CEO of You Go Natural. This company's COO is David. Monique earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University. HelloConvo, an influencer marketing firm, was founded by David. She founded the company in 2016 with the goal of creating natural, high-quality hair wraps that are both useful and appealing. According to Monique, she was motivated to start the company because she noticed a lack of goods on the market for ladies like herself who had opted to go natural. She wished to inspire ladies to be proud of their natural hair.

Monique claims to have worn her hair naturally for over fifteen years and has been amazed and thrilled to see the natural hair movement flourish. She finds it admirable that women of color are now discovering how to love their natural hair texture, but she also believes that it may occasionally be depressing. She wanted to build a company that offered fashionable and useful hair care products for women.

Monique's brother, David, is an influencer marketing professional who joined the business in early 2021.

What is the cost and how to buy You Go Natural?

The firm creates and distributes textured hair headbands, turbans, head wraps, and durags for men and women. They have over 100 styles that maintain textured hair moisturized and are all waterproof. Monique says she wants to "make your life more vibrant & effortlessly chic, starting from the very top - your hair." Prices vary according to style, but everything on their website is $45 or less. Everything is manufactured at an 8000-square-foot facility in the Dallas region.

On their profile, customers have shared their views on the products as they write, "I LOVE YGN an have several pieces. I have worn out a couple of them. LOL!" Another person added, "ALL of my wraps and turbans are from YGN (I have about 15 in total) and I’ve bought MANY for friends and family as birthday and holiday gifts! I’m OBSESSED with them!! Thank you for making such an intentional product for US!! Many continued blessings and success to you!!"

Where is You Go Natural now?

Over the years, the entrepreneurs claim to have served over 70,000 customers. They raised $2 million in April 2021 to open their plant. YGN items may also be purchased in Target and Urban Outfitters shops, in addition to online. Brand Foundry Venture Partners led a $2 million seed fundraising round for You Go Natural, with participation from Capital Factory, Willow Growth Partners, and Lightspeed Venture Partners. They have gained millions of dollars in sales by selling T-shirts, turbans, headbands, wraps, T-shirt buns, and headbands.

This brand has been in operation since 2016 and has generated millions of dollars in sales throughout the years. Their mission is to make life and hairstyles easier. This firm is rapidly expanding and has attracted over 70,000 consumers. In recent years, there has been a lot of emphasis placed on black women's own businesses. According to its LinkedIn page, the company's current headquarters are in Dallas, Texas, and it employs 11–50 employees.

Who will steal the deal?

Sharks Lori and Emma Grede back in Season 13, invested in a firm named KIN. That company sells satin-lined hoodies to people with textured hair. Lori may be unable to invest due to the conflict. Shark Kevin's baldness may put him off, but if there's room for royalties, he could make an offer. If the sales and the brother and sister pair amazes, Shark Daymond could invest here as well. Because their facility is in Dallas, we're wondering if shark Mark will be involved. We are unsure whether they will leave with a deal because they have other investors. That frequently keeps the sharks at bay.

'Shark Tank' Season 14, Episode 21 airs on ABC on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 8 pm ET. Catch the latest episode featuring products like Nature’s Wild Berry, Noshi Food Paint, See The Way I See and You Go Natural, and an update on Collars & Co.
