Philomina Kane is the founder of KINApparel. She has worked as a marketing director and a YouTube Content Creator, with her channel NaturallyPhilo amassing a following of 187,000 followers.
As per her Linkedin profile, she is a "highly driven, passionate young lady with excellent marketing, social media, and digital content creation skills." Her brand focuses on revolutionizing hair care with fashion and inclusion. On the brand's website, she spoke about how her Ghanian roots inspired her. "My Ghanaian culture is what makes me who and what I am today. It has filled my life with meaning at times when my future seemed bleak. Above all, it has grounded me in faith and a commitment to contributing my talent for the common good. This site, with all its kente glory, is a representation of culture and the never-ending love I have for my supporters," she explained.
Kane explains that she had a beautiful relationship with her grandmother, who instilled many values in her, among which was the idea that she should share her talents. It is what led her to start her YouTube channel, which then evolved into her brand. "All in all, my Ghanaian culture has made me who I am today. Most of all, I cherish my grandmother for instilling my faith in humanity. It is with this strong backbone that I produce motivational content on YouTube, and have created KINApparel. KIN stands for "Keep It Naturally" but its deeper meaning is family." she explained.

Where is the KINApparel now?
As per the brand's Instagram profile, they spent an entire year researching the right kind of satin for their beanies to better their brand. They also brought back their fleece satin-lined hoodies to the range. The brand also focuses on giving back to society as they donated their kid thick zip up satin-lined hoodies to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September.
