YG Entertainment released a ‘Coming Soon’ poster for Lisa's solo project

YG Entertainment has been getting quite the backlash from fans of the K-pop group Blackpink for not promoting the group as well as they should have. Blinks were upset about not having new songs from their favorite groups as YG celebrated the fifth anniversary of Blackpink with a project that did not give any new content to fans.

Blackpink’s fifth-anniversary gift project for fans titled, ‘4+1 Project’ was nothing other than a repackaging of their previous videos and photos to be ‘sold’ to fans. Many Blinks lashed out against this on Twitter saying it was not an actual gift if the company is attempting to monetize out of Blackpink’s old content and claiming it to be a gift for fans who had to spend money to consume/view such gifts.

Lisa to go solo

Fans of Lisa (Lilies as they call themselves) have been very upset with YG Entertainment for not giving any solo promotion to Lisa over the past few years. Not only her, but fans also claimed that Jisoo of Blackpink has not had her well-deserved solo project. Lisa has been hinting at a solo release on her Instagram stories for quite some time now but YG Entertainment had never once confirmed or denied any claims for fans.

Blinks and Lilies concerned for Lisa can now be at peace now that YG Entertainment has officially announced that Lisa is finally ready to go solo. Her fans have been anticipating the release for a while now and begging for updates from the label. This solo project also garnered some attention as Lisa rose to global popularity for being a mentor for a Chinese dance variety show.

Poster for Lisa’s solo is released

On August 23, YG Entertainment released a poster to announce Lisa’s solo project. The poster read ‘COMING SOON’ with a blurred image of Lisa sitting with red sequined thigh-high boots on and her hair seems blonde. The poster was posted on YG Entertainment’s official social media accounts at 12 am KST (11 pm ET) that has made global fans excited for Lisa’s solo debut.

Lisa's solo project has been a secretive project as it has been conducted under strict security for a long time. In recent news, reports suggested filming of a music video but detailed information is yet to be shared. As it was previously announced, YG is proceeding with the solo projects of the Blackpink members sequentially. Lisa's solo debut is the third after Jennie and Rosé. Both members, who had previously appeared as solo artists, set various new records on the global charts. Fans can expect nothing less from Lisa’s solo endeavor.

Blinks sigh with relief

Here is how Blinks celebrated the announcement. LISA IS COMING.” Another theorized, “Wait I think y’all was right I think the concept it’s “the seven deadly sins” Greed it’s one of them but there is also more to go and we might get a new sin every new teaser.” One more fan said, “someone said lisa gained muscle from her thighs because her solo’s choreo has pole dance in it????”
