'Yellowjackets' Season 2 Episode 1: Who felt ecstatic after eating Jackie's severed ear?

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The day has finally arrived and we will finally get to see the ‘Yellowjackets’ gang after Season 1's ominous ending. The first edition didn’t answer a lot of questions and it didn’t need to because we already knew that show was returning for another bombastic edition. So, it doesn’t come as a shock that Season 2 of the Showtime series will be a lot more enthralling than the previous one. With the premiere of Season 2, we realized a lot of things about several characters, especially Lottie. She was troubled a lot in the first season and with everything we have seen in the second edition, it seems things are going to get even worse for her.
After the gang was rescued from the wilderness, a lot of things changed and Lottie began to use her powers to help people. But it seems, her personality was much bigger and darker. Let’s take a look at what happened with Lottie and why she is the most integral part of the second edition.

‘Yellowjackets’ Season 2 Premiere: What happened to Lottie after the rescue?
During the premiere’s opening montage, Lottie’s behavior only got worse from the Season 1 finale. She was turning out to be this superstitious, cult-like figure, who had a lot of impact on people’s minds. Audiences get to know what happened with Lottie after the rescue and she was taken to a mental institution where she was given “electric shock therapy.” As the years passed, Lottie went on to establish a health and wellness community that helped people in getting away from their stressful lives. However, as we go deeper, we get to know that this entire group is more of a cult that can do anything, including kidnapping, abduction, and murder, for their leader.
The premiere also indicates that it was Lottie who ordered her people to kidnap Nat in the finale of Season 1 and brought her to her commune in New York.
In the final moments of the episode, we see Nat finally meeting Lottie, who tells her that she has a message from none other than Travis, who died in the first half of Season 1. It seems things have only gotten worse for Lottie since the rescue and no one knows what kind of things she has done right after she was rescued from the wilderness.

Jackie froze to death in the finale of Season 1 and her corpse was in the meat shed. Shauna continues to visit her and talk to her because they were really close. While talking, Jackie’s corpse taunts her by saying if she will ever leave her alone and demands that Shanua should tell her how her romance with Jeff began. However, Jackie was not happy with Shauna’s response and called out Shauna for her guilt. Shauna gets really annoyed with her own imagination and pushed her friend’s frozen corpse. As she pushes Jackie’s corpse, her ear falls off and Shauna didn’t even think twice before picking it up.
But the most terrifying moment of the entire episode comes right at the end when Shauna keeps looking at her friend’s ear with hunger in her eyes and takes a bite of Jackie’s severed ear before feeling ecstatic.
The first episode of ‘Yellowjackets’ Season 2 is now streaming exclusively on Showtime. Meanwhile, people with cable can catch the first episode on Sunday, March 26, at 9 pm EST.
