LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'X-Men '97' Episode 6, titled 'Lifedeath - Part 2', featured a scene where Storm takes flight for the first time after regaining her powers. Many fans believe this was inspired by Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel', where Superman learns about his origins and experiences his first flight.

'Man of Steel' has undoubtedly become one of the greatest Superman movies ever made, impacting its fan base and the world significantly. Surpassing its success would be a challenging task. It’s impressive how the movie influenced other films seemingly unconnected to it.

DCEU's first movie also reshaped the landscape of comic book films, introducing thought-provoking themes and emotional connections not previously expected in the genre. It has now become something far greater than just a typical superhero movie, offering more than mere entertainment.

'Man of Steel' debuted in theaters in 2014, not only introducing Superman to the big screen but also marking a crucial moment for DC’s Comics-based films, laying the groundwork for what was to come. Even years later, the film continues to evoke unexpected emotions and spark ongoing discussions.

'X-Men ’97' Episode 6 focuses on Storm’s quest to regain her mutant powers. The key scenes revolve around that storyline. Towards the end of the episode, it is seen that Forge’s efforts to remove the X-Cutioner’s curse from Storm actually worked, thanks to what happened in Episode 4.

But it’s when Storm comes to terms with her own reality that her supercharged abilities fully return. This pivotal moment sets the stage for a spectacular flying sequence, reminiscent of the iconic scene from 'Man of Steel' where Superman takes flight for the first time.

Just like in that movie, Storm’s soaring journey showcases her newfound control and confidence over her powers in a way that’s both visually stunning and emotionally powerful.

Recently, there’s been intrigue surrounding 'X-Men ’97', leading former showrunner Beau DeMayo to clear the air on social media. He shed light on how Zack Snyder‘s 'Man of Steel' played a role in influencing the return of Storm’s powers.

One fan took to X on Wednesday, April 17, to ask Beau DeMayo if Storm's flight sequence was inspired by Superman's 'Man of Steel' to which Beau DeMayo promptly replied, "It is."
