Netflix has an abundance of thriller movies and its catalog is set to expand with the release of the upcoming film ‘Windfall’. The movie revolves around a man who breaks into a tech billionaire’s vacation home in order to steal some valuable things, however, things go upside down when the owners reach the vacation home for a getaway.

What will happen when they come face to face? The answer to that burning question will be given when the movie arrives on Netflix, later this month.

The premise of the movie seems to be pretty intriguing and will surely keep viewers at the edge of their seats. The upcoming flick is a worthy addition to the streaming platform’s extraordinary catalog that includes movies such as ‘The Guilty’ and ‘Alone’. Apart from the premise, the movie also features a stellar cast, which includes Oscar-nominated star, Jesse Plemons.

Let’s take a look at the star cast of the upcoming Netflix movie.

Jesse Plemons as CEO

One of the brightest talents working in the industry right now, Plemons has finally made it to the elite club of superstars that have received an Oscar nomination. The actor began his acting career when he was just 3-and-a-half years old. He was seen in a Coca-Cola commercial at the time. Plemons made his feature film debut at the age of 10 with ‘Finding North’ (1998).

He received a lot of recognition for his role on the TV series ‘Friday Night Lights’. Meanwhile, he kept on making a mark with supporting roles in movies such as ‘The Master’ and ‘Black Mass’. In 2012, he joined the cast of ‘Breaking Bad’ and received worldwide recognition. The role also made him earn his first SAG Award. 2016 saw him getting nominated for an Emmy for his role on the TV show ‘Fargo’.

Since then, he has been a part of several high-end ventures such as ‘Black Mass’, ‘The Post’, ‘The Irishman’, ‘El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie’, ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’, and ‘Jungle Cruise’. Last year, he appeared in the movie ‘The Power of the Dog’ alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and his wife, Kirsten Dunst.

Dunst and Plemons are both nominated for Best Supporting Actor (Male and Female) at this year’s Academy Awards. 

Lily Collins as Wife

Born on March 18, 1989, Lily Collins has shown the world how talented she is and continues to sweep everyone off of their feet with her impeccable acting. She was just 2 years old when she started acting and appeared in the BBC series ‘Growing Pains’. In the late 2000s, Collins began acting and modeling more regularly, and she had a career breakthrough with her performance in the sports-drama film ‘The Blind Side’.

Since then, she has been a part of several big-budget ventures like ‘Priest’, ‘Stuck in Love’, ‘The English Teacher’ and ‘Mirror Mirror’, for which she was nominated for a Teen Choice Awards. Her moment of glory came in 2016 when she was cast as Marla Mabrey in the movie ‘Rules Don’t Apply’. She garnered a lot of praise for her acting and was nominated for a Golden Globe as well.

However, ‘Emily in Paris’ turned out to be a game-changing moment for her. The Netflix series received universal acclaim and was nominated in the Outstanding Comedy Series category the Golden Globes. Meanwhile, the actress received a nomination as well.

She will be next seen in the movie ‘Gilded Rage’ along with Bill Skarsgard and Christopher Waltz. 

Jason Segel as Nobody

Actor-turned-screenwriter Jason Segel wanted to be a Basketball player initially and won a slam dunk contest in his high school. He was a backup to the team’s star center, Jason Collins. He made his feature film debut with the film ‘Can’t Hardly Wait’.  His other early feature film appearances include ‘Slackers’, ‘SLC Punk!’, ‘The Good Humor Man’, and ‘Dead Man on Campus’. In 2007, he appeared in the movie ‘Knocked Up’ and garnered praise.

However, it was the 2005 TV series ‘How I Met Your Mother’ who made him a worldwide star. He played the role of Marshall Eriksen and garnered a lot of praise for his acting.

Meanwhile, the 2015 movie ‘The End of the Tour’ received positive reviews as well and was nominated in the Best Male Lead category at the Independent Spirit Awards.

'Windfall' will be premiering exclusively on Netflix on Friday, March 18.
