Kirsten Dunst would have frozen her eggs if she hadn't met Jesse Plemons, says her pregnancy was a surprise: 'It feels like I lucked out'
Star of the upcoming 'On Becoming a God in Central Florida', Kirsten Dunst has been a mother to her fiancé's child for over a year now, but she is in no hurry to get married. Dunst, who has been dating her 'Fargo' co-star Jesse Plemons for the last four years, claimed that she lucked out after giving birth to their son Ennis, who was born in May 2018.
The 37-year-old revealed to Porter that she and Plemons are "as married as you can get". "We have a kid together," she says before narrating a conversation with her mother: "My mom was like, 'But when are you guys getting married?' And I said, 'Mom, I’m not going to get married when I'm pregnant. I want to have fun and have a drink. I mean, we're paying for this wedding. I'm paying for the bar! I want to enjoy it'."
Dunst also shared that Ennis was a surprise, and had always assumed she would have a hard time getting pregnant. "If I hadn't met Jesse, I would have frozen my eggs. (But) it feels like I lucked out."
Dunst and Plemons met each other playing a married couple on 'Fargo' and even though they did not start dating until a year after they wrapped up shooting, she instantly knew that Plemons "was going to be a soulmate".
"He's my favorite actor – the best I've ever worked with," she gushed and added, "I just knew he would be in my life forever. I didn't know what capacity that would be at the time. When the show was over, I just missed him terribly. We didn’t get together until a year later. We were both smart enough that we were wondering if the connection was just because we were working together. But it was real."
During the interview, she also talked about having a healthy amount of vanity. Dunst credited being around strong and individualistic women like Sofia Coppola, who directed her in 'The Virgin Suicides', and 'Marie Antoinette' as the reason for her positive self-image.
You can see Dunst in one of her best performances in 'On Becoming a God in Central Florida', premiering on August 25 on Showtime.
