It has been eight months since the Big Hit Music (HYBE) boy group TXT (aka Tomorrow X Together) last released a Korean album. The five-member boy group has been active in the industry and has been gaining a lot of attention internationally by becoming the first K-pop act to top the Billboard Song Breaker chart as reported in March 2022. The boys made their comeback with their last comeback in August of 2021 with the reissue album, ‘The Chaos Chapter: Fight or Escape’ and its lead single, ‘Loser = Lover’ which had soon taken over the internet.

Now, almost eight months after that, TXT has been reported to be preparing for its new comeback. It was only a few weeks ago that MOAs (fans of TXT) had started demanding a comeback from HYBE and Big Hit Music on Twitter as they stated that it had been a long time since the boys had gotten a new release. TXT will now be making a comeback a year since their last official album release after ‘Chaos Chapter: Freeze’ that dropped in May 2021.

Big Hit Music confirms the TXT comeback

On April 6 various Korean media outlets started reporting that TXT members were currently preparing for a comeback. It was later reported that Big Hit Music had themselves made an official statement to the Korean news website - Newsen and confirmed that TXT was preparing for a comeback that will be released in early May. This has also led fans to wonder when maknae Huening Kai of TXT had said his favorite number were 5 and 9. With their comeback being confirmed on May (the fifth month of the year), fans are wondering if the new album will be released on May 9 this year.

With this comeback, TXT members will finally resume their Korean promotional activities for the first time after almost eight months. The boys, on the other hand, made their Japanese debut with ‘Chaotic Wonderland’ back in November 2021. TXT had also released their second full-length album, ‘Chaos Chapter: Freeze’ back in May of 2021 and this new early May comeback will be the boy group's first new album in a year as their August 2021 album was a reissue.

Fans are excited for what TXT’s new comeback has in store for them as their May 2021 release, ‘The Chaos Chapter: Freeze’ was the only K-pop album to appear in the ‘Best Album of the Year’ lists from British Music magazine, NME as well as Rolling Stone America.
