Fans are calling TXT, the five-member boy group from HYBE’s Big Hit Music, “leaders of the fourth-gen” after the boys become the second K-pop act in history to feature on US Billboard’s Song Breaker Chart. On March 23 it was publicly announced that TXT had officially made their entry on Billboard's ‘Song Breaker Chart’ dated for March 12.

With many international acts present on the top, TXT has been placed at Number 18 all thanks to their slowly rising global popularity. This makes TXT the only ever K-pop act after JYP Entertainment’s TWICE to enter the chart and the boy group makes history as the only male act from the entire K-pop industry to feature on the ‘Song Breaker Chart’.

TXT enters Billboard's 'Song Breaker Chart'

According to US Billboard, the Song Breaker chart is one that ranks artists on a monthly basis in an international chart. The aim of this chart is to rank music acts on the basis of the way in which fans interact with their music on social platforms, including TikTok and YouTube. Due to TXT’s sudden popularity, many of their songs have become viral hits but one of their songs that is mostly credited for this success is their recent collaboration with international singer Salem.

Yeonjun and Taehyun of TXT both featured in Salem’s hit single ‘PS5’ that was released late in February this year. With Yeonjun, the main dancer of TXT taking charge and making a now-viral Dance Challenge on the song, the single is getting a fiery response around the world. On TikTok alone, more than 15,000 videos were found. TXT has over 16 million followers on TikTok. The group also has the second most number of likes on the platform after none other than BTS, their sunbaes.
