SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA: As Ted Conkaffey (played by Thomas Jane) and Amanda Pharrell (Nicole Chamoun) solve yet another gripping mystery in 'Troppo' Season 2, fans wonder if they would again reunite for another season soon.

'Troppo' Season 2 arrived on Prime Video two years after the release of Season 1. As Thomas Jane and Nicole Chamoun returned in their roles as private detectives, they were tasked to solve a new murder mystery, unrelated to Season 1's.

As of July 2024, there has been no official confirmation of 'Troppo' being renewed for another season.

The series is based on the best-selling novel 'Crimson Lake' by Candice Fox. Although the Prime Video adaptation doesn't strictly follow the book, we can expect the creators to bring a Season 3, as the novel is part of a trilogy.

Moreover, there are still some loose ends in 'Troppo' Season 2 which leave the scope open for another season.

If Season 2 garners good viewership, Prime Video may consider greenlighting another season.

What to expect in 'Troppo' Season 3?

'Troppo' Season 2 ended with Ted and Amanda solving the murder case of retreat leader Julian. It also brought an end to Ted's miseries who was accused in a rape case.

Despite the fulfilling conclusion, we can expect Ted and Amanda to continue their adventures as private detectives in Season 3.

After his name in the rape case got cleared, he attempted to return to his old life with Kelly (Radha Mitchell) and Lilly. But that didn't work out and Ted came back to Crimson Lake in Season 2 finale's last scene.

Moreover, the makers didn't reveal what happened to Twist (Simon Lyndon), who was shot and abducted by the drug mafia.

If there would be a Season 3, the makers would most likely explore Twist's fate in a war against the drug kingpin.

It would also be interesting to see if Amanda pursues a relationship with Detective Pip Sweeney (Zindzi Okenyo).

'Troppo' is available to stream on Prime Video and Amazon Freevee.
