LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The ‘Donnie Brasco’ star Anne Heche, who was fighting for her life after a fatal car crash, died on Friday, August 12, a week after the unfortunate accident took place. She was 53. The acclaimed actress was reportedly on cocaine, and fentanyl before the accident. Apart from her work, the skilled actress made headlines time and again for her love life. Though she was in a relationship with a number of people, her split with actor Thomas Jane might have led to the tragedy.
A pattern of bizarre behavior was observed in Anne Heche after her several break-ups down the years. However, a source spilled the beans to Daily Mail that Heche’s split with Jane could have been a major reason that led to the unfortunate incident as the late actress was crazy in love with him. Anne Heche before Thomas Jane was in a long relationship with James Tupper. She was earlier married to Coleman “Coley” Laffoon from 2001 to 2009. Heche also made headlines for her relationship with TV host Ellen DeGeneres from 1997 to 2000.

Opening up on Anne Heche’s bond with Thomas Jane, the source told Daily Mail, “She was crazy in love with him”, adding, “After so many failed relationships she thought she finally found her person- the guy who would be in her life forever” further sharing, “And when they couldn’t make it work, she started falling apart.”
The source continued, “Anne has always had demons and in the end, when they couldn’t make it work, she started falling apart and she turned to the things that took her out of her funk before – bad things.” According to reports, apart from blood tests showing she was on cocaine and fentanyl- a bottle of Vodka was also spotted in her car. However, no alcohol was found in her bloodstream. The actress crashed her blue Mini Cooper into a home in the Mar Vista section of Los Angeles. She died shortly after being removed from life support.

Anne Heche and Thomas Jane started dating in April 2019. The two starred together in the flick ‘Hung’. Thomas Jane, who was earlier married to Patricia Arquette for five years, did not last long with Heche as the duo parted ways in 2020. Jane, after Heche’s tragic accident, shared that he still loved her.
In a statement to The Daily Mail, Jane at the time of her accident said, “While Anne and I are no longer an item, today’s tragic news was devastating to me and to all who love her.” He added, “My heart goes out to Anne and her two sons. As of right now Anne is stable and expected to pull through. My thoughts and prayers are with Anne, one of the true talents of her generation. Thank God no one else was hurt.”
