SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: (G)I-DLE is set to return after their record-breaking album 'I Never Die'. After going viral in South Korea with the lead single 'Tomboy' in March and their first successful world tour, (G)I-DLE will make an October comeback. The girl group is set to release their fifth mini-album 'I Love' on October 17. However, while dropping teasers, some fans think that they hinted at Soojin's return.

Former girl group member Soojin had the most heartbreaking exits from K-pop as she was wrongfully accused of school bullying. She was put on hiatus for a year and then (G)I-DLE's label shared that they had terminated their contract with her. Many were upset as they had hoped Cube would clear her name and let her rejoin (G)I-DLE. However, the latest updates have some fans hopeful.

Soojin's update coincides with (G)I-DLE's comeback

In September second week, a year after Soojin's scandal, the former K-pop idol finally gave fans an update on her legal case. Her lawyer shared that she was never found guilty of school bullying. However, she would not be taking legal action against the accuser as she was a former classmate and there was not enough evidence. The former (G)I-DLE member anyway apologized to the accuser and the fans who were waiting for her. Following this update, (G)I-DLE dropped the album cover of 'I Love' that has caused chaos.

In between the current members' names, there is a cross that fans think could be a hint to Soojin's return. On the top, we also had 2021 crossed out with many speculating that the album was supposed to be released before Soojin's scandal. However, a majrity of fans claim that the cross is just a part of the 'X-Files' concept of the album. They are also asking as to why Soojin would rejoin a label that did not help clear her name.

'I just miss Soojin'

A fan felt it was okay to wish for Soojin's return even if it was not possible, "I mean i just miss soojin, are we forbidden to do that? why are we forced to forget her? mind your own business and let Soojin Stans live in the world they made." One commented, "Y’all reading way into that my god it’s literally just for the album concept do y’all not see the huge ass red x in the middle it’s the same thing. please stop delusional it means nothing else." Another fan added, "You all are actually really selfish for wanting her back in a company where they gave up on her and basically fired her instead of helping her but whatever i guess."

One fan was excited at the possibility, "Im shitting bricks guys." Another fan was hopeful, "HOW CAN THIS MEAN ANYTHING OTHER THAN SOMETHING BIG TO DO WITH SOOJIN ??!! AND THE G IN (G)I-DLE IS BACK??!! AND SOOJIN JUST HAD HER LAWYER CLEAR HER NAME RIGHT BEFORE THE COMEBACK ANNOUNCEMENT SO WHY WOULDNT SHE BE ABLE TO COMEBACK?!"

One fan was blunt, "You guys have got to stop making everything about soojin bc it never is cube & idle are not stuck in the past, delusional & pathetic like some of you & all it does is get idle hate & make their intentions appear to be what they are not like PLS go out & stop acting psychotic." Another fan posted, "There are rumors that soojin will rejoin g idle:( I so hope that is true, I want my girl back." One fan tweeted, "Stop wishing for soojin to rejoin gidle that company doesn't deserve her." Another fan added, "Why would you guys want Soojin to rejoin G-Idle? after all the shit cube has done to her .Poor girl had to fight for months for her freedom."
