'Justice for Soojin': Fans react to the former (G)I-DLE member's statement about the bullying lawsuit

Fans are upset now as Soojin comes out innocent after the controversial school bullying rumor was resolved after she exited from (G)I-DLE

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: K-pop fans were sent into chaos back in 2021 when one after the other, many K-pop idols from famous boy and girl groups were accused of school bullying as youngsters. Many celebrities from the Korean Entertainment industry were accused of bullying while they were still in school. This led to many idols going on indefinite hiatuses while other celebrities lost their career to disproved allegations. One such person was (G)I-DLE's Seo Soojin.

Back in August of 2021, Soojin exited the Cube Entertainment girl group after she was faced with baseless accusations that alleged she was a school bully. Following these rumors, Soojin was investigated by the police despite her statement claiming she was innocent. Before she was proven guilty in court, Cube Entertainment terminated their contract with Soojin triggering many of her fans. Now months after the investigation revealed that Soojin was actually innocent of the accusations, the former (G)I-DLE member has taken it upon herself to break down the legal investigation and defend her innocence.

Ex-(G)I-DLE's Soojin releases her official statement 

On September 8, Seo Soojin’s legal representative made an official statement to conclude the legal case against Soojin that accused the singer of school bullying. Soojin's legal representative from Barun Law Firm narrated the former (G)I-DLE member's official position breaking down every allegation and explaining how Soojin was proven innocent by the school violence committee at the time of the incident. The statement claimed that Soojin has decided not to proceed with legal action going forward due to the lack of other evidence to confirm the substantive facts.

The statement from the representative ended with a message from Soojin stating, "Although Ms. Seo finds herself in a delicate situation to clarify her position, she sees it necessary to take courage and explain her situation, no matter how much her words may seem like an excuse, for the sake of her fans who have shown continuous support as well as those who may have been hurt or offended by her past actions."

Soojin's statement concluded, "Ms. Seo strongly understands how emotionally hurt the former classmate must be, regardless of whether the allegations are true or not, and she sincerely apologizes to everyone who may have been hurt by the brash words she used back in middle school. She also apologizes to her supportive fans, as well as all others who may have been disappointed." Fans are praising Soojin for being brave enough to reveal the proceedings to fans after what she has been through over the last year.

One fan said, "Seo Soojin was involved in scho0l v1olence before and WAS FOUND "NOT GUILTY" by the Autonomous Committee for School Countermeasures BUT RATHER discovered to be a victim of bullying perpetrated by her seniors." Another fan said, "SEO SHIN AE AND THOSE VITAMIN SISTERS SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR RUINING SOOJIN’S CAREER! WE WILL NEVER FORGIVE AND WE WILL NEVER FORGET!"

'Soojin's finally clearing her name'

One fan said, "Seo Soojin is the strongest woman alive. She’s standing strong and fighting for justice SHE DESERVES! She never change her words, even after almost 2 years! She’s my role model, our Soojin is the strongest." Another fan said, "Soojin deserves so much better, I hate this unfair world where stuff like this happen and no consequences for the accuser whatsoever. to think she could be now with the girls and accomplishing all these things together. I just want her to be HAPPY." One more fan said, "Anyways my girl deserves JUSTICE."

One fan said, "She’s finally clearing her name i’m so happy." Another fan said, "Seo Soojin trending again after a year, Neverlands you want me to cry and kill that badly." One more fan hoped, "From now one let’s hope you live a good life soojin." Another fan said, "FINALLY, SOOJIN OFFICIALLY INNOCENT AND SHE FINALLY FREE FROM ALL ALLEGATIONS AGAINST HER." One fan said, "SOOJIN FREEDOM YALL TODAY IS A GOOD DAY NOW BRING HER BACK TO US." Another fan joked, "Queen elizabeth died to bring soojin back."
