‘SNL’ returns with Connor Storrie as host — here's when you can catch Heated Rivalry’s fan-favorite live
‘Saturday Night Live’ has indeed celebrated its golden anniversary of being on the air. Season 51 is currently on air, and the series is showing no signs of stopping. It officially launched the latest season on October 4, 2025, on NBC. After the Winter Olympics led to a programming pause, fresh names will step into the spotlight as the schedule picks back up. On February 28, Connor Storrie, who gained fame from ‘Heated Rivalry,’ will make his first hosting appearance, as confirmed by an ‘SNL’ Instagram post. Meanwhile, Mumford & Sons will return as the musical guest.
On March 7, Ryan Gosling will take the stage for his fourth time as host. The episode will showcase Gorillaz, who will perform their first musical act on ‘SNL’. Just so you know, the season opener belonged to Bad Bunny, who slid back into hosting duties for the second time. The very same evening, Doja Cat made her debut as the musical guest in Studio 8H. A week later, former cast member Amy Poehler returned to host on October 11. It was her third time leading the show and her second time doing it solo, having previously co-hosted with Tina Fey. Singer Role Model handled the musical slot that evening.
Then came October 18, when Sabrina Carpenter pulled double duty as both host and musical guest. After a brief pause, the show resumed on November 1 with Miles Teller hosting for the second time, while Brandi Carlile made her third appearance as musical guest. The following week, on November 8, comedian Nikki Glaser took the reins, marking her first time hosting. She was joined by musical guest Sombr, who also made a debut. On November 15, Glen Powell stepped into the spotlight as host for the first time, with British singer Olivia Dean performing.
December brought back a familiar face when Melissa McCarthy returned on December 6 for her sixth hosting stint. Six. That’s club-level status. Dijon joined her as the night’s performer. The year wrapped with two final episodes. On December 13, Josh O'Connor, who recently appeared in ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,’ made his hosting debut, while Lily Allen took the stage musically. Then on December 20, Ariana Grande hosted for the third time, paired with none other than Cher, who returned to 'SNL' for the first time since 1987.
When 2026 arrived, the show welcomed three first-time hosts in a row. Finn Wolfhard kicked things off on January 17, with A$AP Rocky serving as musical guest. On January 24, Teyana Taylor stepped in as host, joined by indie rock band Geese. A week later, on January 31, Alexander Skarsgard hosted alongside Cardi B. That January 31 broadcast carried extra meaning as it marked the 1,000th regular episode of ‘SNL.’ The number shouldn't feel unreal, considering the show first premiered back in 1975.
