'Selling Sunset' Season 10 to welcome back Christine Quinn and Heather Rae El Moussa after latest exit
The upcoming season of 'Selling Sunset' will see some familiar faces return. The OGs, Christine Quinn and Heather Rae El Moussa, are all set to make a grand comeback on the Netflix reality show. Christine left the show at the end of Season 5, while Heather quit after Season 6. Christine, during her run on the show, was the resident villain, having a significant rivalry with Chrishell Stause, who announced her exit from the show last year. Heather also had prominent storylines on the show, ranging from whirlwind romances to friendships. According to Tudum by Netflix, they will be rejoining The Oppenheim Group and getting down to some unfinished business.
The last time Christine appeared on the show, she was dressed in luxury from head to toe. She tied the knot with Christian Dumontet in a wedding to remember and was seemingly heading towards a happily ever after. However, things took a turn. Her marriage to Dumontet fell apart, leading to several financial and personal upheavals. As per PEOPLE, the fashionista now lives in Texas with the pair's son and is trying to rebuild her life from scratch. Christine has changed a lot since her time on the show and warns the audience that if they expect to see her former self, they might be disappointed. “This isn’t a rewind,” she shared. “It’s a reintroduction.”
After her exit, Christine went public with her grievances regarding her portrayal on the show, in a 'Call Her Daddy' appearance. She accused the makers of giving her the villain edit. However, it seems that these conflicts are now a thing of the past. “[Creator] Adam DiVello and I reconnected after my divorce, and I really appreciate him extending the invitation to come back on,” Christine told Tudum by Netflix. “I’m returning from a very different place, with more perspective, confidence, and clarity.” The OG added that the key difference between her past and present versions is the impact of motherhood, which has not only improved her skills as an "entrepreneur" but has also made her more "strategic" in terms of the time and energy she invests in different aspects of life.
However, the reality star promises fans that the sass they fell in love with on 'Selling Sunset' is still very much a part of her personality. “I’m still ambitious and direct, but I think people will see a version of me that’s more centered and even more sure of herself,” Christine shared. “I’m hoping this chapter feels fresh and honest. I’m not coming back to play an old version of myself. I’m coming back to show where I am now and let the audience see that growth can still come with an edge.” Heather is also looking forward to returning to the familiar space with new confidence. “I’ve become a mom, a wife, a business owner, and I finally feel secure enough in who I am to walk back into that world and not lose myself in it,” she said. “I’m calmer, more grounded, less reactive. I know what I want, and I’m not afraid to say it.”
The reality star tied the knot with fellow real estate agent and house flipper, Tarek El Moussa, in the Season 5 finale and was expecting a son during her last outing. The couple remains together, and Heather is excited to invite the audience into their home. “Tarek and I have settled into something really beautiful together. We’re solid, we’re happy,” she shared. “I want people to see the full picture of who I am now. Not just the dramatic moments, but the real life I’ve built.” The real estate agent will not shy away from addressing past conflicts, but does not plan to hold grudges. “[This show] is really about a group of women building something together, rooting for each other, figuring it out. There was friendship and camaraderie at the core of it. Coming back, I really want to bring that original spirit with me,” she shared. “Obviously, when you put a group of women with big personalities in a room together, there’s going to be tension. That’s just reality, but it’s how you handle those differences that define the dynamic."
Netflix renewed the show for a landmark Season 10 as it announced the comeback of the two fan favorites. However, while the duo gears up to return to the show, one significant figure announced her exit last year. Chrishell Stause broke the news to Bustle as she said, "I’ve gotten to a place where I don’t need the show financially. I’m lucky to have other forms of employment, because it’s no longer good for my mental health." All nine seasons of the show are available for streaming on Netflix.
