Spoilers for ‘Too Hot To Handle’ Season 4

PROVIDENCIALES, TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS: Those waiting with bated breaths for the new episodes of ‘Too Hot to Handle’ Season 4 were finally treated to some steamy drama after Netflix dropped the next batch of episodes on the streaming platform. And steamy doesn’t even begin to describe the chaotic hotness (or more like a hot mess) these contestants bring to the show!

But not all is hot and happening in the retreat as Lana severely punishes bad behaviors, and the contestants have to face the music. The stakes slowly rise higher as the retreat nears an end, with some significant plot twists, such as the threat of being sent home. To prove to the contestants that Lana truly means business, the ‘Too Hot to Handle’ supervisor sent home two participants for not learning from her “process.” Among the two was the English rose, Sophie Stonehouse. Read on to learn why Lana decided to take such a drastic step against Sophie.

The show ‘Too Hot to Handle’ has a singular purpose: to foster genuine connections between the participants. And the way to go about it? Restrict all sexual activities between said participants. Lana, the show’s robotic matron, ensures that the contestants adhere to the rules and stay grounded. She even sanctions a fine on a couple whenever there is a breach of retreat rules. But the breach doesn’t just apply to a contestant engaging in salacious activities with another contestant; Sophie’s elimination was proof of that.

According to Lana’s process, the group must form genuine connections and build romantic relationships during their time at the retreat. But when it came to the brunette beauty, she refused to connect with anyone after Creed McKinnon broke her heart and tragically dumped her. In the beginning, Sophie and Creed form a strong bond, but eventually, Creed’s “greed” for the new arrival, Flavia Urbina, causes him to break up with Sophie. The unfortunate event leads the latter to take the painful rejection to her heart and close herself off from romance altogether. So much so that she was even caught telling her fellow castmates how “done” she was with romance and that she wanted to “get out of here.” Sophie’s reluctance to open up again caused Lana to deem that the event manager had not learned anything while on the show and was a lost cause. During a special fruit-themed party, Lana decided to let the bombshell out that she was sending Sophie home.

But according to the British beauty, there was no bad blood between her and Lana over the heartbreaking decision. While leaving the show, Sophie told the group, “After what happened with Creed, I wasn’t open to finding a deeper connection, anyway.” During her confessional, she added that she understood Lana’s decision and said, “ I do agree with Lana. I have really struggled, and I’m not gonna progress in a genuine connection at this point in time.” She continued, “There’s no bad blood, Lana. You and me will always be friends.” Saying her goodbyes, Sophie was sure to leave the retreat in a chipper mood. Lana then reminded the remaining contestants that the choices they make carrying on would ultimately seal their fate.

The second installment of ‘Too Hot to Handle’ Season 4 dropped on Wednesday, December 14, on Netflix.
