Although Robyn herself has not officially commented on the matter, rumors circulate that the OG cast member has decided to drop out of the hit Bravo series.
Upon encountering this news on social media, Christina Applegate took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to seek clarification from executive producer Andy Cohen.
She expressed her curiosity and desire for an explanation regarding the status of Dixon and the other departing housewives, highlighting the intrigue and speculation surrounding the upcoming season.
"What in the actual f***? Why is Robin Dixon not coming back to Real Housewives of Potomac??????? Noooooo!!!!!” Applegate wrote on X. “@Andy you need to explain this to me. She is my fave housewife of all the franchises! @Andy call me now! You don’t have my number but ya know. I love you.”
The news about Dixon's potential departure from RHOP came shortly after Candiace Dillard Bassett also expressed her desire to leave the show amicably. Candiace, who joined RHOP in Season 3, aimed to follow in the footsteps of Kandi Burruss, who recently announced her departure from 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' (RHOA).
Bassett desired a departure akin to that of Kandi Burruss—a clean, beautiful, and peaceful exit. She expressed her wish to pursue music after leaving the show, aiming to transition smoothly into a new chapter of her career.
The cast of ‘RHOP’ Season 9
As of now, the official cast for Season 9 of 'The Real Housewives of Potomac' (RHOP) has not been released. However, the cast of last season included Gizelle, Karen, Robyn, Ashley, Candiace, Mia Thornton, and Wendy Osefo. Additionally, it also had a new addition to the RHOP crew, Nneka Ihim. These cast members, except for Robyn, can be expected to see in the new season of the series.
The potential premiere of Season 9 of RHOP is anticipated to fall between July and November 2024, following previous release patterns. As of now, filming for Season 9 has not commenced.

She revealed that Juan has opted to take a year-long hiatus from work to devote more time to their family and children. Specifically, he is focusing on spending quality time with their sons, Corey and Carter.
Although Juan is not actively working, he remains connected to the basketball world by volunteering with their son's high school team. Robyn expressed that Juan is relishing the opportunity to bond with their children and is appreciating this time with them. Juan was lastly fired as a coach from Coppin State University in 2023.
