POTOMAC, MARYLAND: As Candiace Dillard Bassett's music career ascends, the 'The Real Housewives of Potomac' star contemplates departing Bravo. "In life, if you don’t always have a plan, what are you doing?" she told Page Six in an exclusive interview when questioned about leaving reality TV to focus solely on her recording artist career. “There is definitely a plan,” she continued.
Nonetheless, the 'Drive Back' singer, whose adored 'Deep Space' album has garnered a devoted following outside the Bravo audience, acknowledges that "all good things must come to an end," alluding to her time on 'RHOP.' Candiace, who joined the reality series in Season 3 of 2018, wishes to leave the "Housewives" on good terms, similar to Kandi Burruss.

Kandi, an 'Atlanta' staple, recently announced her departure from the Georgia-set program after an impressive 14-season run. Bravo boss Andy Cohen and other network celebrities praised her remarkable stint, grieving viewers but applauding her decision. "I just love that she’s made this clean, beautiful, peaceful exit—or break, as she put it—just because she’s so wrapped up in all of these successful endeavors, including music, including theater, entrepreneurship."
The 'Fine Whine' artist expressed her admiration for Kandi, stating, "Everything she’s doing, it’s insane in the greatest way," Candice, who was mentored by Kandi during her time in an Atlanta girl group, aspires to channel her inner Kandi when the time comes. "I would love to someday take a page out of her book."

For now, Candiace is content to stay on the Maryland-based edition of the blockbuster franchise that propelled her to stardom. "I’m so, so, so grateful for the platform that I’ve been given with Bravo," the multihyphenate said. The former Miss United States acknowledges that 'RHOP' has consistently featured her singing and acting career. "They have supported me immensely with my music career, with my acting career, with just my love for wanting to express myself as an artist," she told the outlet. “They’ve really given me the space to talk through and talk about my love for [the] industry.”

Candiace is gearing up to release her follow-up to 'Deep Space,' an EP crafted with a lineup of renowned artists, including the production company Triangle Park (Bebe Rexha, Teyana Taylor, H.E.R.). "I am so excited for everyone to hear the new stuff," she teases, but the project's release date has yet to be announced. "I’m putting my heart and soul into this, and I really think it’ll resonate."
